Welcome home Mrs B, lovely to see you.
Kaz headache hugs, sounds awful.
Mainly pottering about but place looks better for it. Washing in and on the airers as neighbour having a bonfire, it was probably getting to cold out there now anyhow.
Beef cooking for a pie.
Soup made, DS2 and I have had ours
Bathrooms cleaned
Going to make some sort of cake next and then do HHp followed by HHI oh and I need to wipe DS3's school shoes ready for a polish. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dancemum (((HUGS))) and all sympathy for your poor Auntie. I've experienced a house fire, many years ago, and can honestly say it's very, very frightening. Thank goodness no lives were cut short. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Hope all are well
Welcome to the new and returning flyers.
I've been really good this morning and emptied my ironing basket didn't really take too long once I got into it, DS2 is at Bletchley park today with explorers so we watched enigma with him last night just to get the feel for it. DH has just taken DS1 out round friend for a music session so we can watch a film in peace once he's back. Got 12 squares left to knit up so hopefully will get some knitting done as well.
I've even managed to get the laundry basket down to a respectable amount with the weather being so good here, I've called in the 2 spare lines as well as the whirly gig so hopefully will have some more dry tonight. I've even paired all available socks so pleased with how this weeks gone even if it has been off list.SPC~12 ot 124

Only managed to vacuum 2 rooms today as ive been out of the house most of the day. Ive never had it before from the dogs but they keep dropping big clumps of fur. Ive heard of dogs shedding their winter coats in the spring but it aint spring yet. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Mrs B welcome back.
Have spent 48 hours trying to keep DD2 and fiance motivated. They swing between positive and being really down. Horrendous weekend all round.
On a better subject DH has finished decorating the hall. It looks great, better than any time in our residence here - 18+ years. Now we need a new stair carpet...
Tomorrow sees the replacement of the gas fire in the lounge that hasn't worked for 18 years with a new one and a fire surround. Not looking forward to the disruption, but the end result should be worthwhile.
But the majority of tomorrow will be spent offering prayers, hopes and posivibes for DD2's fiance as he sets out to find a new job in the fastest possible time.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
well, after pegging out washing and cleaning out the bunny and washing the vallimobile I had planned on a very productive afternoon.
then my friend phoned; she and her OH were planning a walk around the reservoirs (really popular walking spot) did I want to join them. So I abandoned my plans (because there will be plenty of rainy days) and joined them. Lovely walk. Saw great crested grebes, mallard and some other ducks; seagulls, blue tits, great tits and coal tits around a special feeder designed, I assume to be squirrel proof.

Evening all.
Just got kiddies away to bed after DS party. He had a lovely time, although two of his friends got into fisticuffs so I had to separate them (mums weren't keeping an eye obviously) but apart from that and the odd bump, they all seemed to have fun. 3 turned up who hadn't replied which is rather cheeky, but actually made no difference to the cost, and we still had a party bag left over so we gave that to granddad
Feels a bit chaotic here, even though the party was elsewhere and the gifts are still in the car. So I've shoved a few bits in the DW and I'm just having a :coffee: while they settle then I'll start putting some more stuff away. Need to check my work phone and do my pack up for tomorrow. Uniform is ironed and school bags just need getting out.
Depending on how I do for time tonight (don't want a late one, we are up early tomorrow) I might do a quick pick up and put away in DD room - looks like a toy shop exploded in there she has completely covered her floor. Looks daunting but I know it would only take 10 min really, just surface clutter, and it all has homes.
Tomorrow we are doing a small tea party with grandparents after work / school / swimming so I need to get a few bits for butties on my way home. We have enough cake left over to stick a candle in and I kept the train so will pop that back on top too. It's not his birthday until Tuesday but tomorrow works better for everyone. So on Tue we'll do a quiet one just the three of us
Can't believe how grown up he's getting!Bossymoo

Well DH has been a star today, he has hoovered through the house again and washed all the floors where there is no carpet. He has also washed up after dinner while I chatted to DS and his GF who came for dinner for the first time since he started his police training so I wanted to hear all about it.
Prior to that the eye test seemed to take forever which with a bad head (thanks for the much needed hugs Dusty) wasn't fun but new glasses ordered and prescription for vdu specs was less than 2 years ago which seems just weird.
Food shop done, sorted and put away then dinner cooked. Not sure where the day actually went but I wanted to make a cake and a pudding but ran out of time.
Nice to see you back Mrs B
Sounds like it's been a fun day bossy
Your walk sounds lovely Valli, it has been a lovely day.
Fingers crossed for DD and her fiance cyclingyorkie.
Judi my dogs been shedding hair hence dh hoovering again
Maria, I have a couple of bookcases you can tackle
Well I think that's it for now, an hour's tv then early bed ready for work tomorrow.
See you thenMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Hi all, we all had a fab day today in Blackpool, DS2 didn't win anything in dance comp, but thinks he did well in exam (find out in couple of weeks) and fun was had by all. Was a long 4hr drive round trip, but well worth it.
So no flying done today apart from load just put in wm, but house looks surprisingly clean, think due to fact that MIL picked hubby and DS1 up earlier and took them to her's to look after, so no mess could be made.
Have warned boys that they need to be ready for school early tomorrow, not the normal Monday morning crawl as we are at docs first thing tomorrow with hubby, this is 8th day of not being well now, so needs sorting, even if it has been nice having in him all week, but that's just me being selfish lol.
Hope everyone had a good weekend, hugs to all who need or want, smile for everyone, please pass on.Loving life to the full, just need purse full too
