I'm a little shocked. My aunt has had a house fire and says she has lost everything :( Everyone is ok though. I don't know too many details. I rang my Dad and he hasn't heard anything. X

That scares the hell out of me. Glad to hear everyone is ok but it is all the personal bits like photos And trinkets. That would devastate me

    Evening all

CY - So sorry. Sending positive vibes their way.

Kezlou - I've always used shoeboxes in my drawers to organise things. And many years ago I got a load of small giftboxes for virtually nothing so I used those to organise my underwear. It means in the middle of the night I don't have to put the light on to find my warm fluffy socks if my feet are cold ;) I've gotten DD into the habit as well. She loves it, but then she likes tidying up the shelves in the shops :rotfl:

I'm assuming DD's exams went well, she came home from school and disappeared upstairs. Came down about 30min later put NC1S on and spent the rest of the night either watching that while drawing, or practising her guitar. She's gone to bed with no alarms set and I've told her to sleep until either I get her up or she wakes up naturally. With a black out blind up I'm hoping she won't surface much before 11am which will allow me to get the ironing done while watching my programmes ;) Lastest she's surfaced so far is about 1pm but that was over the holidays with lots of late nights and early mornings and at ex's! He actually text me to see whether it was normal for her to sleep that late as normally she's up at 7am-8am at his house :rotfl:

Today for me as flown by. I managed to sort email, do laundry (although the 1st load took me walking past it 5 times over 2 hours for me to realise I hadn't switched it on :o:rotfl:), and did a really good sort of my food storage. I have way too many baking ingredients left for someone who is supposed to be loosing weight, and they all need using up so I'm thinking that can be next weekends job if we don't get round to it this week. Also remembered that DD is off on monday when I got a text reminding me of our dentist appointments at 9am. I think I need another filling or something doing to my teeth as my sensitivity to anything cold is unbelievable so not looking forward to that :(

    Misc:
    [STRIKE]Laundry [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Food inventory[/STRIKE]
    Filing
Go through HD books for recipes
    Toots list
Clear 3 folders on hard drive back to laptop
Work through folder of magazine articles I've pulled
Type up recipes to keep & file them, chuck originals (magazine pages usually ;))
    Walk 5.5miles minimum

Off to watch something online while I wait for the WM then TD to finish. We can't exactly clean when we have no cloths to clean with can we? :o:wave:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • First load of school uniforms in wash, will put darks in tomorrow when DD has finished work and wash her uniform at same time!

Apart from that and dailies have done no flying today. Paid work this morning, then went out to do an errand for hubby, then at hairdressers for DD to practice on for her assessment soon, then was home and tea.

Do need to do all washing & ironing tomorrow and today's list, after DS1's wall climbing, as sunday we are in Blackpool for the day, for DS2's dance exam and competition! So have a lovely weekend everyone, see you Monday :)

Dancemum omg what am awful thing to happen to your aunt. Hope she's okay.

Dusty know how you feel, itchy fingers here just needing to be out. We literally have the back door open all day as soon as the weather heats up.

Nicki oh sorry I couldn't help but laugh, both of my boys do the same in the supermarket. Honestly they stood rearranging the tins by type, colour, price etc
    It's the ASD in them!

Now if only homework was that organised.

Just decided to start a new book, so enjoying snuggling under a warm duvet. Kids are both in bed too. Its Friday so let them study up late.
Tomorrow hopefully we able to go in the garden or out for a walk.

    Night all x

Bossy would curly wurly work as track??

OH in the kitchen with DS2, DD1's OH and my sister OH... they are getting on like (I want to say a house on fire but it seems very inappropriate after Dancemums news.. ) .. so I shall say very nicely. I love that there are 4 very different relationships there and they all even look similar if I am honest yet not one is blood relative of another.

Dancemum.. so sad about all the possessions but so pleased no one was hurt in the fire.. it must be a very traumatic experience!!

I'm leaving them to their board game and going to bed.. All that room to myself.. until Pixie wakes up!!

NN.. back tomorrow for a crazy day.. 2 parties and 2 opticians appointment and I can't find my 'life' .. must do that first thing.

    Morning everyone.

House is looking good. Managed a few frogs this week while being off work. Fighting fit again now and thinking of having a trip into town today to spend my book tokens.

Will do my Bird Watch thing tomorrow.

Pigpen KH just gets worse. That's an awful thing to say.
Cyclingyorkie Job vibes for DD2s fiance.
Dance mum Hope your aunt is ok.

Lots of hugs, spoons, and sticks where needed.

dancemum how shocking! Hope some things can be recovered x I must say a house fire is my "favourite" worry of choice and something I often stress about, then mull over and plan our various escape routes
