Just a random aside- but your photos looked a bit odd to me and I couldn't work out, and then I realised it was because viewing it on the rightmove app pictures used are usually in landscape orientation, whereas quite a few of yours are portrait. Particularly for the children's rooms it can emphasise that they're narrow and you can't see as much detail as they tend to be zoomed further out to fit the room in.

Yes thats what it was! I was thinking that looks lovely but it all seems squashed, it's the 'potrait' aspect of the pictures. Still, it looks lovely and you've obviously generated some interest now, good luck :)

My flat's been on the market for 3 days and I've heard nothing yet, so will be following your thread to see how you get on!
  • It looks much better compared to the original listing; I'd still get rid of that 3D floorplan though.

Change the first picture to a full view of the house.
  • The property looks wonderful.., except for one tiny thing. The carpet in the small blue bedroom looks like it could do with a clean.., even a spot clean.

If I was in the area and buying, it would definitely come under serious consideration.

Thank you for the feedback.....the bedroom...I agree looks dirty, its just the lay of pile annoyingly but it's interesting to hear your thoughts.

I may have to brush it the opposite way and retake the photo.

normally I would agree..but they are another 2 houses for sale that are identical in appearance, I'm trying to make it stand out a little....It's a gamble I know.

Personally I think I would start with the large photo of the house from the back garden. The front view is a bit of a let down with the tiny bit of grass

But I agree the whole thing looks better now :D
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.
  • As someone from that area originally I think it looks so lovely now and I would be much more inclined to have a look if I wanted something up that way :)
  • You can always try different ways of selling your property for example I have recently heard about a new online marketplace (yougavel.com) for selling properties. I think you can auction them as well. Hope it helps.
