Hi there,
As the title suggests we recently put our house on the market 2 weeks ago and we've had no viewings! I wasn't expecting to be inundated with requests but I was hopeful of a couple.
The property is on rightmove:
The postcode is ln24zb priced £179950 (unfortunately as a new member I can't post any link yet)
And in the local estate agents and free paper.
Would anyone have an advice? I'm happy for honest feedback from the pictures/price etc.
Thank you.

Yes it is, thank you0

House looks good. Normally I would say price but in your case I think thats a very fair price compared to others that sold last year. You listed it immediately after Xmas so maybe give it until Feb and start worrying then.0

Agree with Nubbins. Good luck - it looks good.0

Excellent, thank you for the advice. I'm hoping I was a little hasty and marketing straight after Xmas was a little premature. Fingers crossed and I'll try not to be to impatient.0

Yep, the challenge with Lincoln is that well-paying white collar jobs are really only at the police HQ at Deepdale and RAF Waddington/Scampton all of which are under budget pressure and letting civvies go and at the NHS.
The net impact is that fewer folks would consider taking a risk and moving to Lincoln as, let's be honest, it's a awful long way from anywhere else.
Price wise, I think you're on the high-side given that previous 4-beds in Bobbin Lane made £190,000, £197,500 and £194,000 but were all detached houses in what is quite a high-density new estate
More comparable, 16 Blackfriars Road, a 4-bed semi sold for £159,000 in Sep 2014
Regarding the Rightmove listing -
Don't like EA using a fancy '3D' floorplan with hard to read dimensions
EA should have used a wide-angle lens on all pics
Having all the lights on in each picture makes me think it's a dark property
Master bedroom looks small
Not clear whether the patio/back garden face south
Family bathroom needs a declutter and some colour matched towels
No information about rural Broadband services0 -
Your house is lovely, wish it was for sale in my area.
Things are definitely quieter at the moment, it will pick up soon though.
I listed mine last September and only had one viewing in the first fortnight and was worrying a little, then it seemed to go mad after that and we were having 4-5 a week.0 -
those curtains look dangerously close to that fire! the fire isn't mentioned on your details btw
also, its very top heavy - four beds and not a lot of living space. but i s'pose you can't do much about that.
as others have said it's a quiet time for selling houses. give it a month or so0 -
Its brilliant people are taking the time to reply. In reference to the curtains being close, the fire is electric, (heater) so no flames. Its an interesting point though and I may change the place of it.
The lights we're on on advice of the EA, agree though it would hint at a dark property.
Price wise I'm 50/50 on it, I've searched a 3 mile radius and it seems competitive, the estate its on in my opinion is lovely.....I'm obviously bias.0
