    You're welcome, Inazuma!

Re breakfasts: I do have eggs a lot for breakfast :) Usually with toast, but since exploring IQS I sometimes have them with veg instead, which I really like. It's amazing how healthy it makes you feel at the start of the day!!

Otherwise, I'm in a cereal phase right now but other options are plain yoghurt and nuts, maybe some chia seeds and berries too (low fructose).. toast and avocado. I'm not a fan but you could have toast with peanut or almond butter - good source of protein and it fills you up!

As a gluten-sensitive person I don't have porridge any more (oats are a bit borderline) but that would work well - and I do make 'porridge' with rice flakes sometimes in the winter. They're pretty awful on their own :rotfl: Try almond milk for a change (just check for added sugar).

Also, I bought some rice malt syrup last year and I've been using that instead of honey on my cereal, which is working very well. Weetbix needs something to help it along - I don't sweeten any other cereals! It's got some fructose but not much, so not good if you want to cut it out altogether, but ok for the rest of the time!

Also, for moments when others are having cake you want a 'treat' too, I find it helps a lot to have a stash of 'safe' treats for yourself. Dark chocolate works well for me (70% cocoa) - I can't handle too much of it so less likely to overdose, but it's still chocolate and therefore yummy :)

Hope that helps! Let me know how you get on.

I cut sugar from my tea and coffee and lost exactly one stone in 3 months, I still eat some sugary things but prepare everything I eat from fresh so I avoid all the hidden sugar in sauces, cereals and biccys and cakes

I low carb and have been doing so for several years now.

Granulated sugar is 50% glucose and 50% fructose < which is processed by the liver.

Carbs process as 100% glucose. Glucose goes into the bloodstream and if your cells don't use it as energy it is laid down as fat.

So the pasta, flour, rice etc that you are eating converts in the body to behave like sugar. So really, quitting sugar doesn't really go far enough.

If you must eat oatcakes, hummus etc aim to eat things which are under 10g carbs per 100g

Thanks Edwardia. I am doing this in stages at the moment so am not giving up flour or pasta/rice at the moment. Besides, i only eat wholewheat pasta, and not much of it, and brown rice.

Breakfast this morning will be toast and butter.

Morning folks! I am low carbing and having a lot of success with it but have had a couple of stress days (worried about health, went to doc and all ok, but had a day or two of stupid mindless anxiety) and ATE SOME CHOCOLATE. The rubbish stuff too. Then four biscuits, it began to turn into one of those F*** It All sessions. Gave up and went to bed.

Four pounds heavier this morning, honestly. How easy was that? I was beginning to struggle as I said in earlier post, just bored with my range of foods but now I've really gone for it (and it wasn't that much, believe me I can eat ssooooooooooooooooo much more sugar than I ate yesterday!!)

Anyway, that's me told myself off. Back on it now.

    Morning All :)

Ina- dont worry about it, just carry on with the healthy eating and you'll be fine. Maybe plan how you are going to deal with your stress next time? Thats what i try and do, to varying degrees of success.

I have started introducing a small amount of fruit into my diet in the form of frozen blueberries. To be honest, the main reason that i have started eating them is because they are in the freezer and not being used up. I shall not buy them once i have run out.

Breakfast this morning will be porridge with PB.
Lunch is going to be the Mexican Quinoa Bowl from the Deliciously Ella book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in clean eating, vegan, dairy free, grain free, processed sugar free eating.
She uses quite a bit of maple syrup and madjool dates in her sweet things, but i am just going to ignore those recipes and concentrate on the savoury ones.

The recipe serves 4, so i will use those quantities and save the rest for tomorrow and the next day.

Dinner will be good old Spag Bol :)

Those frozen blueberries go nicely with full fat Greek yogurt for breakfast which fits with my low carb plan.

We're having Spagless Bol tonight where we replace the spag with 'cauliflower' rice. Yum! Again, low carb.

That sounds like a plan for tomorrows breakfast sorted then thanks Slinky :)
We are having spag bol tonight too, with wholewheat spaghhetti. How do you do the cauli rice? And (silly question) does it taste stongly of cauli?
