    Morning All :)

Breakfast this morning is porridge, made with my HM Almond milk, some defrosted blueberries, a tsp of almond butter and a tsp of flaxseed.
    Tastes lovely!
Next time i will only have half a cup of oats though, as i measured out 1 cup and it made too much. I didnt think 1 cup would make enough, but i was wrong!

I am going to be making some more almond milk today. I am really amazed at the taste difference between home made and shop bought, and dont think i'll go back to shop bought again now.

I am going to make my weekly meal plan today. I do have to use up stuff that i have already, as well as making sure the kids have sweet treats.

Just been away for a few days, good to catch up with posts. Found it quite tough - take away pizza is not friendly on any eating plan!
Just on substitutes, I have heard using shredded courgettes or leeks are acceptable with bolognaise, although not tried them.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

My friend who introduced me to low carb bought something called a spiraliser which she uses on courgettes to make what she calls courgetti. I'm not keen on courgettes so have never tried it.

Shredded Savoy cabbage is another good substitute but doesn't tend to soak up sauces the way cauliflower does.

(BTW autocorrect corrects courgettes to corvettes. Very annoying).

I have a friend who uses a vegetable peeler to make courgette 'ribbons' in place of pasta or spaghetti and noodles.

I love pasta ( i only eat whole wheat), although i am trying to cut down on it. I have just discovered that Sainbury's do whole wheat tagliatelle..yummy!

  • I lost my tenuous hold on the wagon and fell off. :(
With both sisters over for lunch on Sunday and then feeling a bit low Monday/Tuesday, it all got a bit much.

Don't worry, Anzac we've all been there - this is a marathon, not a sprint, so one little stumble is recoverable as long as you can gather yourself up and carry on.

Anzac, i second what Ina says. A small stumble doesn't undo all the good that you have done up until this point, nor does it undo all the good you will do in the future.
