Blog comps, especially the mummy ones - who reads these?! - They take an age to load, in whch time I could have entered 10 other comps and most use rafflecopter, which takes me to...
Rafflecopter comps - the new widget is such a nightmare and then and then when it finally loads you have to complete 15 different tasks to enter.
Selfies - Just no.
Anything I'm not interested in like cycling, angling, equestrian, crafts (though I do want a sewing machine
Comps to win 1 bottle of shower gel, antiperspirant, bag of crisps, bar of chocolate, etc.Make £10 per day-

Haha. We just need to fix some people up with partners and this thread is a near ecosystem of it's own. Just keep the baby factory blogging to yourself of course.
Another thing that honestly is driving me crazy of late: comps to win a camera which require you to take a picture with a camera of some sort. Hmm now what on earth could possibly be wrong with this equation?
Oh I clearly forgot bog roll in my earlier list too. I draw the line sharing toilet roll socially. Come on!!“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
The camera one has been one of my gripes for ages
oh and now added theatre / show / festival tickets to my list . Can't think of a worse way to spend the weekend0 -
I tend not to have many ethical dilemmas when it comes to most competitions.
If i let all my morals get in the way i would barely enter any competitions, which would then make this a very boring hobby lol
The biggest one i just can't bring myself to enter is pay day loan companies. Not only are they unscrupulous sharks, i wouldn't want to win and give them all my details. Can you imagine the bombardment you would get when they sell your details on?
I do on the other hand roll my eyes when it comes to certain comps and sometimes pass them by (dependent on the prize).
I will always give selfie comps a miss.
Most single small prizes unless i want to give them a try.
I hate 1D, but have a little niece who would explode with happiness if she was given anything 1D as a gift.
Most Rafflecoptors and Gleams these days because they are such a palava, Unless the prize is really worth it.0 -
When promoters run surveys with the inducement of prizes I often wonder just how inaccurate the findings of those surveys must be. I think most compers rattle through those surveys with little thought of honesty. Their main consideration is how quick can they get it entered and get on to the next comp.
Look how many people on here will admit to lying about their age when entering.0 -
i would prefer to lie about my age if i could
i remember the days of only needing the 2nd option '20-29' now i have to scroll down the ages0 -
Im starting to hate rafflecopter ones now, especially as they have just "upgraded" it.
agree with scrummy mummy blogs - and they seem to be taking over the universe
i tried to bring morality into it but caved in as the pay-day loan prizes are often cold hard cash - well i'm there.
the ones i really hate are "we have a new widget, if you want to win our widget, take a photo of you using our widget"...ermmmm
also dont enter most DVD/CD ones, baby stuff, 1 of something (1 bottle of gloop, packet of crisps)
am a slave to social media so enter loads of FB and TW ones i'm afraid
hate any kind of voting ones - they are so susceptible to cheats
also hate any that the effort is disproprtionate to the prize "jump through 10 flaming hoops, then run to john o'groats and back again for this new paperback novel"You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I don't like purchase comps, I feel by entering this type of comp we are encouraging more of this kind of marketing.
I don't ever do text entry, as the charges are ridiculous.
I don't so surveys about things that would require me to lie.
Children comps which are clearly for a specific age group.
Games where the highest score wins.0 -
I don't enter:
Rafflecopters
Spa breaks
Family holidays (as I'm only me!)
Baby stuff
Anything involving a selfie!
Tickets of any kind (I live in the middle of nowhere and can't get to them)
Any blog compsI just enter and forget...hoping to win something!0
