Your motor's bulb replacement is similar to the Mondeo where one also has to remove the grill and headlamp but you don't need to remove any screws at all, even less use any tools whatsoever.
It takes about 3 mins to replace.
Well excuse me! I might be a novice with this being my first car but I am not stupid.
I had looked it up on the internet and found a very good step by step guide to how you would replace the bulbs. And without removing those 3 screws I do not know how you could access the bulbs as the the access point is blocked by the engine coolant on drivers side and the windscreen wash/battery on passengers side.

Took my car to Halfords yesterday and this is how they installed the bulb as well, and it cost a grand total of £3.99 plus bulb.
So if you know a quicker easier way, please elaborate instead of being dismissive!!!0 -

Its hardly a scam - they are offering a useful service at a given price.
Personally I'd quite willingly pay £20 for them to change a bulb, I have no idea how to do it and no intention of learning. They can get their hands dirty, I'm happy to pay for their skills and their specialist knowledge.0 -
I don't think £6.99 is excessive.
Especially when you can watch them doing it and then, if confident, do it yourself next time.
Or you can do what I did and go to youtube - loads of vidoes on how to do such jobs on there0 -

You tube is great unfortunately many headlight bulbs are done by touch alone. If you could see what you were doing . as you swapped bulbs life would be easy. If you had the 'space' life would be easy.
Let those who wish to save money carry on DIY. But stop telling the rest of us how to spend our money ( I have money to make my life easier)0 -
Halfords are simply a joy to deal with.
The experiences described here are NOT the norm.
Me and DH have nothing but praise and would highly recommend halfords for anything.
Their are far more satisfied customers than moaning, unhappy ones.0 -
I wouldn't go as far as that. But have used their service in the past and will do so in the future. If they didn't have happy customers they would have ceased trading years ago.0

Scenario-
You're travelling home in your car and are 100 miles away. It's past midnight and a fellow road user informs you that you have a headlight out.
What do you do?0 -
