Hi, has anyone recently ordered any contact lenses from Lensplanet?

I am concerned as I ordered over 15 days ago (they say most orders take 3 days or maybe the max 10 working days for some orders). I can see my order on their system and it says "in progress" but there seems to be no way to query them. My Credit Card has been debited - it shows up on my statement. Lensplanet have a contact email address but all my query emails have gone unanswered, and they don't list any telephone contact numbers on their website. I ordered via Lensplanet because it is recomended by this website!

Am I being unreasonable in at least expecting someone to read and answer my emails to give me details as to why there is a delay, and if I will actually get delivered what I ask for?

I'm thinking this is shoddy customer service.
I had exactly the same problem with them a few years ago. In the end I had to get my credit card co to get my money back from them

    Hi all

Unfortunately I am also another victim of this scam. Firstly, I ordered my lenses on 28 April, it was shipped on 12 May. Fine, I can live with a delay. It is 23 May today and there are still no signs of a package. On their website it says their products are delivered via Royal Mail, and anyway, even if it's from overseas, surely it would've arrived by now?

Anyway, anyone who has successully claimed a refund please let me know what you did. I actually had a similar experience with Amazon before last year for another product but at least they gave me my money back!!! I have the feeling I have just thrown £30 into the hands of thieves!!!!!

I shall be writing a bad review for them on PriceGrabber!!

Hi, did you receive your lenses? I found this thread only after ordering my lenses from them 10 days ago. Still not shipped... Doh !

    Hi Folks

I thought I should warn you about a major security hole in lensplanet's systems. If you don't like your prescription and address details being available to anyone, read on.

Lensplanet.com are the same people as contactforlenses.com. They use the same order and billing systems. You can track your order by going to contactforlenses.com (even if you ordered via lensplanet) and simply login to your account and then click order details. You can then change your order number (as shown in the address bar) for any old 4 or 5 digit number...and you see someone else's order info.

I have emailed them to tell them of this gaping hole in their systems. So far no reply. I would steer well clear of this company, they just seem very suspicuous. No proper address or phone number, and they ship lenses destined for China, so all "instructions" are in Chinese.

    Caveat emptor, folks.

Where 12345 is your order number. Just change the 12345 to another number, say, 54321, and you can see what happens.....repeat with any order number and you get the idea...

In your rush to vent your angst against lens planet you have yourself breached the privacy of Maxine in Milton Keynes plus all the other customers with a 5 digit order number. So I think it was irresponsible to post this on a public forum and hopefully the mods will remove it...

I wonder if we can get hold of any of these people??

I've emailed info@lensplanet .com and told them to cancel my order. If it doesn't happen by monday I'll take it up with my credit card company and get them to investigate it as fraud.
