Hi, has anyone recently ordered any contact lenses from Lensplanet?

I am concerned as I ordered over 15 days ago (they say most orders take 3 days or maybe the max 10 working days for some orders). I can see my order on their system and it says "in progress" but there seems to be no way to query them. My Credit Card has been debited - it shows up on my statement. Lensplanet have a contact email address but all my query emails have gone unanswered, and they don't list any telephone contact numbers on their website. I ordered via Lensplanet because it is recomended by this website!

Am I being unreasonable in at least expecting someone to read and answer my emails to give me details as to why there is a delay, and if I will actually get delivered what I ask for?

I'm thinking this is shoddy customer service.

  • I've faxed as well.

    Not looking good. I can't get a response off them via email or fax, and they don't list a telephone contact number.

    You may argue that I am being impatient and that the order is only 15 days old BUT this doesn't excuse the total lack of after sales service or customer care.

    I am fearing the worst !

    They did get a Which recomendation,and an item in the indepandant.theyare certainly cheap-perhaps they have a problem with their systems.
  • thanks hollydays - maybe they have been overwhelmed by orders if they had recomendations from Which, but this doesn't excuse the lack of customer service. I have sent more emails with no response, they haven't replied to any faxes and I can't find a tel no. for them anywhere.

    My order total was for £57 and I fear that they have stopped trading but are still taking orders on their website.

    I would advise anyone NOT to order from them as I think it is very dodgy when a retailer (whether online or not) does not display a contact tel no. and does not respond to any enquiries.

    I think they should be removed as a recomendation from this moneysaving website (in the medical section) as this is why I ordered from them.

    What do you think I should do next to try and get my money back ??

    I'm also having exactly the same problem with this bunch of cowboys.
    According to their website, my order was posted on 15th July. Still no sign of my lenses! I've used them in the past, and they've been pretty quick (no more than 4 days).

    I sent numerous emails and faxes and after several days, I finally managed to get the following reply, which explained nothing!

    Thank you for your email. This is to confirm that your order has been
    shipped on 17th July 2007. Since we are facing some delays in the
    recent
    shipments, your order is being delayed. You can definitely expect to
    receive your package shortly.

    We apologise for the delay in receipt of your order.


    A week later, and still no sign of my lenses, and most of my emails are being ignored.

    The customer service that this company provides is absolutely disgraceful, and anyone that's thinking about buying from them, should think again.

    In my opinion, any business that refuses to publish it's telephone number, must have something to hide!

    Looks like there are a raft of internet companies operating out of their mailbox. They are cheap because they dont have to pay anyone to deal with phone calls.

    Just paid off my large mortgage 5 years early and loving it.
  • Hi i placed an order 10 days ago and the update on the site says Order Verified. It's still not been posted. Their Website is a shambles as the coding only allows something like 20 words before getting an exception, so I've had to break down my complaint and send it 10 times:mad:. i can't get the fax number to work either. :confused:

    If your phoning from the UK is it 44 871-251-2690 because I Just get "The number you have dialed has not been recognised":confused: If someone can give me the right number to fax them, It would be greatly appreciated.

    I really don't think MSE should be reccomending this site if more people are experiencing this type of problems:(

    That number is from outside the UK - try 0871-251-2690.
