He can clean the bath out as he rushed me out of it last night so he could get in and then I found it full of water this morning when I got up.
 I'd be putting him on bathroom duty for a month!!

Lovely long "walkies" decluttered; the field's not flooded any more, but there was a large puddle still on the lower path which I didn't care to chance driving the buggy through. The higher path, past the Roman ruins was all navigable though, so we took that route. For some reason, the Council have moved both the poo-bins a few yards along the road.
Doesn't make a lot of difference to us, but I can't see why they've done it.

I need to do my weekly accounts back-up in a bit; whatever else gets left, that's important. Actually, the place isn't too bad at present; we're living by the Valli mantra ("Don't put it down, put it away) and that helps no end.:o

Mr LW has to go over to Northampton tomorrow - two new tyres required, and his preference is to go to the dealership we got the car from, so he'll be off at sparrow-fart to be there for 08:30. My aim is to give Jessie a walk in the morning before she goes home (due to be picked up at 11:00 tomorrow).

Mr LW's pal came over last night, and kindly took a picture of us both with Jessie, which I've emailed to the franchisee to use for her official holiday pic (part of the service is the owners get a pic of the dog with the host) - it makes a nice change for Mw LW to be in the pic, often he has to take it, so he's not in it, iyswim.:o

I just wish to goodness I could find some GUAG from somewhere; I'm so tired, it's ridiculous.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Not working to the list for today, as both grown up children can sort their own rooms - or not! However, I have vacuumed throughout upstairs yesterday, and also done a couple of loads of washing.

Online shopping delvered and put away, and I also popped to get some meat for casserole (prefer to choose my own meat), and petrol - am much enjoying the lower petrol prices, makes a huge difference to my weekly spend.

After, despite the rain, I walked around town, and dropped the large bag at Oxfam, and bought a couple of T-shirts from M&S before treating myself to coffee and pain au raisin in my favourite French cafė.

I have helped DD and DS1 pack up orders as well. Just off now to prepare the casserole, which is for tomorrow, as I'm going to London for a languages mini conference - looking forward to it! Just the morning, so shouldn't be too tired, as I'm coming straight home after.

Agree absolutely about January, always seems to last about six weeks, and the lack of light and the rain also getting me down a bit. roll on Spring!

Sounds like lots of sticks needed as there are a lot of unwanted dogs about.

Today I've been working my way through a fairly mixed list as no uni work:
    - went early to do horse as farrier came 8am
    - refilled bird feeders
    - took Mr N for blood test via Sainsbobs, which he walked round with the support of a trolley.
    - decluttered a C0sta while he was bleeding! Then we got the lift up to his previous ward to take "his" nurses some chocolates and a Thank You card. They seemed really touched which was nice; they were all lovely and deserve every encouragement and Thank You we can offer.
    - Went to DIY shop to get some light bulbs, met a friend who works there and rashly (stupidly) offered dinner to him, wife and friend when they visit tomorrow. They then suggested another friend join us. Stupid idea; I usually like informal entertaining but with Mr N's erratic and unusual 'diet' it's going to be a right mixture. Plus we'd already been to supermarket so I'll have to have a think what I've got in freezer.
    - bought train and car park ticket for course I'm doing on Wednesday
    - went to GP to collect prescription and give them a copy of all the notes surgeon gave on discharge which curiously hadn't turned up in Mr N's file........
    - started organising next week's uni timetable.

Next on the list for "sometime in the next few days":
    - update list of what's in the freezer. I started this in early Dec to keep track of what I'd bought for Xmas (ha) and it's really useful to see at a glance what's in each drawer without having to rummage through and get frosty fingers.
    - continue recording/organising the documents I need to renew my assessor's certificate
    - chuck out a few things from office
    - make lounge/dining room ok for aforementioned dinner guests
    - vacuum hall
    - do a new flower arrangement for lounge/dining room
    - plan and cook for dinner guests
    - another friend visiting on Fri so make small cake.
    - vacuum bedroom as the bunnies are huge seconded by the webs
    - coffee/brunch with old work mates on Sat. So far this is the activity I'm looking forward to the most.............
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

I seem to have got nothing done again except reduce the pile of papers on my desk and laundry. :( On the plus side lots of things have been filed, and work orders sorted totalling £300+ for the first time in months :D And only a few took up my offer of a free gift on orders over £20 so that shouldn't be too difficult to sort out either ;)

DD is home & stressing about the fact she's not done any revision for her exams but has agreed it'd be good to take tonight off and relax a little. She's coiled tighter than a clock spring at the minute :( So I think we're going to tackle the flying now, then she can spend tomorrow studying as if she was in school, Sunday off and back to school Monday with revision in the evening for a bit. The exams don't start until Wednesday, and I don't have any work outside the house which she needs to be with me for. I'll post my updated list later when we've done some jobs ;)

Right, I'm off to wash up while I listen to the snooker quarter-finals now DD has finally put her headphones in so I can hear them :rotfl:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    WARNING - RANT COMING UP

I'm not having a good day today. I feel tired and achy from my head to my legs. I don't really want to do anything else today and wish someone was here to make the dinner for once instead of me.

I've done 3xWM and 3xTD AND put it all away. I sorted the fridge ready for shopping list and shuffled both freezers. Still have the floors and bathroom to do and can't be ar***.

Had a mail overnight from my DS with a video clip. He is in some remote village, near Bukit Lawang, North Sumatra and the river has risen and is rushing past the door. They have been told to grab their bags and evacuate for higher ground as last year the river rose further and wiped out the village. They are surrounded with jungle so my mind is in overdrive. Obviously he is now out of contact !!

    END OF RANT - SORRY

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep/mop the floor

Tuesday - Living Room and hall
    Hoover floors

    Wednesday - Master bedroom
    Hoover floors

    Thursday Bathroom
Clean sink and toilet, wipe the dust that settles on the back of the toilet pipes
Clear and wipe one surface in the bathroom
    Hoover and wash the floors
    Wipe the bath panel

    Friday - Spare Bedroom
Hoover as much as the floor as you can
    Check library book returns
