    Morning all.

Hugs, sticks, spoon, vibes to all as I've been interrupted that often this morning I've lost track of who said what :o

As predicted I lost yesterday to work. Well, when I finally got out to work at 11am after falling asleep on the sofa after DD had gone to school :o I had planned to spend yesterday afternoon doing admin for work, but I ended up spending 3 hours catching up with a customer/friend so by the time I got home it was time to cook tea & go back out to work again! Totally exhausted last night so I went to bed at 9pm, then I couldn't sleep so I ended up watching the end of the snooker on my phone :rotfl:

The workmen are back working next door (haven't been here since Monday, probably due to the high winds we've had. Doesn't mix to well with throwing away paperwork) and have nearly filled skip 9 and I've heard them say they're going to have to think about ordering another one

Today I need to have an admin day as the pile of paperwork on my desk is growing into a frog already. I looks big by my normal standard but I keep reminding myself thats because there's a diary, 3 notebooks & a pad in it. ;) Problem is most of the admin that needs doing is on the computer anyway so it's even bigger than the pile :rotfl:

So far today I've made the beds, tided up throughout, S&S the bathroom, put last nights tea dishes in to soak after discovering I'd forgotten so the tuna sauce in welded on, WM x 3 is in, TD x2 is in, and the gasman has been to check on exactly what he needs to fix the chimney-breast (basically a couple of bricks, some cement & a way of holding the bricks up when he bricks it up a bit) and he has re-pressurised the boiler to see if that's what's wrong with it as we can't see any leaks anywhere but it keeps loosing pressure

If its gone its done but any work outside or with mopping the floors is completely pointless due to the workmen/skip and the amount of ick there is:p Also DD wants to fly with me tomorrow morning to see how quickly we can do the entire house top to bottom :D:j:D:

    Week:
Fri: Possibly small Mr A shop but can be done over weekend
Weekend: No ex, DD revising, trip to park planned for Sunday weather permitting which will be the "time for someone else" ;)

    Misc:
Toots list - writing one for my landlord but it'll need typing up ;)
Clear 3 folders on harddrive back to laptop
    Filing
    Update finances
    Sort orders/books from yesterday
    Laundry
Calender update with new work dates
Work through folder of magazine articles I've pulled
Type up recipes to keep & file them, chuck originals (magazine pages usually ;))
Walk[STRIKE] 7.5miles minimum [/STRIKE] 3.5 miles walked yesterday with work so now its 4 miles minimum:D

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Hoover
    Level Three
    Make time for somebody else
    Sort out the undersink/cleaning cupboard

Hoover floors including the stairs & sofa
    Level Two
    Clean a window or two

    Dust the mantle and tv

    Extras
    HH me time
    Clean windows and sills
Sort that box of stuff - you know the one! I'm sure we all have one somewhere, whose will contain the most obscure of useless item?

    Thursday Bathrooms
    Level One

Clean sink and toilet, wipe the dust that settles on the back of the toilet pipes
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe one surface
    Level Three
    Hoover and wash the floors
    Extras
    HHI
    Wipe the bath panel

Strip a bed and remake it - Sundays job
    Level Three
Hoover as much as the floor as you can
    Wipe the window ledges
    Extras

Right, I'm off to make a coffee and do a HHC on the paperwork. Most should be able to be cleared quite quickly once I get going. ;) Then its lunch time!

  • Can I ask a potentially silly question? When people say 'hugs, spoons, sticks and vibes' - what are sticks? I know what spoon theory is but have never heard of sticks before...

Minerva_windsong - not a silly question at all. Sticks are what we throw to make the black dog run away - the black dog being depression.

I think the expression is I chewed some frogs in that I've tried to do stuff I've been putting off. Finding it so hard to get motivated today but just doing a bit as and when.

    Afternoon all

CY big hugs sweetie you sound down. When you ring your Mum is it for your benefit, hers, habit? Is she watchng a v programme she doens't want to miss? If it is not working then how about cutting back to every other day or arrange a convenient time and ring her once or twice a week?

I could spend an hour sitting here now but I'm going to go and do a HHC and then look at my ather long list of jobs.

Well as I'm caught up on the thread, I can't really avoid getting on with jobs, can I? :(. I'm getting rather a lot done though, even if I do say so myself!
I have hidden DD's cadet uniform which she leaves screwed up on her bedroom floor every single time she goes to cadets. I am sick of telling her not to so now she can have it back when she has completed a list of jobs for me.
DS's room was disgraceful and I have told him that he can't have his xbox tonight. I will actually be giving him a list of jobs to do too. He can clean the bath out as he rushed me out of it last night so he could get in and then I found it full of water this morning when I got up.

    HHC from 14:30 anyone?
