    Afternoon all
CEO of hospital has replied that it was all down to a 'flagging' error and should not have happened. Doesn't help but hopefully means it will not happen again. Three wards closed there due to norovirus so feel happy Mum is not in tbh.

Forgot to share the good news , school I am a governor at got GOOD, I knew on the day at the debrief but could not share. School has never been rated this high before so good news..

Excellent news about the school. Not sure what to say about the hospital................
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Hugs to those who have Black Dogs sniffing around and snapping at their heels. It's January, it's cold, wet, windy and dull, everything makes everyone feel tired and Easter is a long way away. It's enough to put anyone in a foul mood. The only solution is to administer vast amounts of chocolate. Or cake. Or chocolate cake.

Nothing feels good at this time of year - unless work declares you utterly brilliant and gives you a bonus. Huge congratulations Jazee.
    Better is good enough.

Hoover the stairs- my handheld dyson is poorly at the mo so have cleaned all the filters hoping that will fix it!

Grrrr! Just realised that my hubby has unplugged the dyson (which is never unplugged) and put the washing machine plug in it. So there is nothing wrong with the dyson- it just needs charging. Will do the stairs tomorrow!

    Just saying hello!
Sushi went well. But the dog ate the packet of sushi rice I had on the side ready, thankfully I found another pack when I was hunting for the first!
Done no housework other than clearing the kitchen this morning but it looks like nobody has bothered in it for days - c'est la vie, at least everyone has eaten a nutritious meal today albeit in shifts.
Eggs didn't turn up :(. Waste of money :(. Hope someone who needed them more than I do found them.

Am going to meet up with scout larder tomorrow as he is my training supervisor for cubs. Then we can plan my training at least :).
Need to get woofer out for a good long walk, she had 2 teas this evening! Little fatty got fed by me and DH :o.
Hope to get more from list done tomorrow.

Head's better now, thanks. We have had a storm tonight, maybe pressure there?
    Night all xx

    Morning all.

Yesterday was a great day out. We spent 2 hours in the BM exhibition, had a nice lunch, then met up with DH's sister for tea and swapped Christmas presents. All very relaxing :D - I really needed that.

First cuppa of the morning has been decluttered while I prioritise all that I'm hoping to achieve today. DS2 and DDiL2 are leaving DGS3 (aged 23 months) with us this afternoon while they have a weekend away on their own before the new baby makes his or her grand entrance, so I've got to put away my office stuff, assemble the cot and childproof the LR, bathroom (must move the bleach and cleaners from under the basin  ) and kitchen. I'm going to move my computer and printer down to the DR table for the weekend, as the only times when I shall be able to sit down to it will be when DGS3 is asleep in the study bedroom. We usually eat at the kitchen table, so it won't cause any great inconvenience. If I can work out how to link my PC to DH's wireless printer in the utility, I won't even need to move my printer - but I'm a technophobe :rotfl:

Like dancemum's DS1, I've also got an appointment with the optician at 9.30, and we need a few bits of shopping which I shall get while I'm out. I expect DH :A will hoover round while I'm out, if I ask nicely.

I've had an email telling me that I need to provide the gas and elec readings. The meters are in the depths of the under-stairs cupboard. Wish me luck!

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all in need, especially Dusty and mum and Bossy.
Very well done to Dusty's school :T
Glad your hospital visit went OK, HB - and well done on the litter picking.
Glad your paws are a bit better, LW.
Congratulations on your bonus, Jazee :T
    Enjoy cuddling your great-niece, dancemum.

Must get cracking..... Hope everyone has a good day x
  • Well done on the achievements at work Dusty and Jazee nice to get a little pat on the back now and again.

And bossy my son told me when he was about 6 that I worked too hard. I was often on the laptop when he went to bed and working again when he got up and he used to be convinced that I hadnt been to sleep. Its hard to juggle it all, you do a great job.

HB glad things are more settled with your dog and the hospital visit went OK.

We had a very productive meeting with DSs mental health team yesterday. Lots of discussion about whether we should try and encourage him to have CBT or some other therapy when he doesnt want to - or let him carry on living the life that he can manage for now and be ready to step in with the help if and when he decides he wants it. No easy answer but I think it will be the latter option and the professionals agree. I just have to step back and stop worrying about him so much.

Paid stuff today, but hopefully it should be a bit quieter.

Oh and Wendy you are right with your girls and their bedrooms. This is one thing my two are fairly good about, even if they do nothing else. I once did get a bin bag and removed everything from their bedroom floors into the shed (they thought it had gone in the bin!).
