Stopped at the dump with excess cardboard and got rid of our old hoover which DH couldn't fix so that's today's item gone.

Cuppa, phone calls, WM then food shopping and back for haircut, wonder if I can fit some flying in too.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thank you for the supportive comments. I now have Mrs Dog's sedatives to hand for when they're required and I can stop fretting. She is having a lie in and still snoring having been under OH's tender care yesterday.
The journey up to the hospital was fine, the visit went far, far better than I'd anticipated and the journey back was vile because of the weather. I'm so glad I went; it was absolutely the right thing to do. ICU was bursting and the staff where terrific. Surprisingly the group of workers I'm most grateful to from yesterday is Security - no panics, no bad events, just three different chaps, all helpful, all bending over backwards to be cheerful, calm, kind and supportive. My brain can't cope with very much today.
Dusty, your kittens look adorable, your kitchen looks normal, your yesterday sounds horrible and the shortage of ICU beds nationally needs to be tackled. Good on you.
Pigpen, that party needs to exist to express the views of a minority that feels disenfranchised at the moment - they must have a voice. I loathe everything it stands for and am thrilled to bits by a certain comedy persona that is standing in Thanet - that should make it an interesting campaign.
Yes, Rubies, you're right, vinegar should not be used on gold taps. I use a tiny amount of ordinary fl@$h type liquid and a microfiber cloth on everything, the cheapest I can find (usually Sainsbobs basics, 12p a bottle).
*ouch* and healing vibes Dancemum, thank you Deco and have a lovely time, Ionafan. Healing vibes, Kaz2904 - your work sounds uber-stressful. Good luck with the applications.Better is good enough.0 -

Forgot to say, I did a bit more external flying yesterday - I'm not finding it difficult to reach a target of one bit of litter a day and most days two or three pieces go in the bin, some days, sadly, still six or seven. Anyway, I was walking back to the car at Fleet Services having used their facilities, when I saw a Merc driver open the door, drop a bulging maccyd's paper bag out and then shut the door. It was pi$$ing down with rain, and dark. So I did it - I walked up to the car, tapped on the window, he opened the door and when I said, 'You dropped this' as I handed it back to him - he said 'Oh. Thank you' and later drove off, no rubbish. Sadly, when I followed him a few minutes later I spied a bag that looked familiar on the ground near the exit, but at least he won't be able to drop litter again without the thought crossing his mind that someone may be watching! The verges on the A303 east of Stonehenge are shocking, the worst I've seen for years.Better is good enough.0

Piggers is that a joke? If not it'll be a production problem, in which case may I suggest you contact customer service about it. Twitter or facebook would do.
I saw this on Faceb**k this morning about Mr T's response to a contact.
"we had a problem with our delivery last night, it was all arranged but I was not in to receive it. I explained to the customer services that my wife was in hospital with an infection caused by her chemotherapy and that I had completely forgotten. the lady I talked to has arranged for a redelivery at a later date but I could not believe it when about 10 minutes ago the door went and it was tescos delivery man......... with a large bouquet of flowers from Tesco for my wife. could not have timed it better as she has only been home half an hour after being finally discharged. What superb customer service. could you please ensure that my local store in .................... is thanked and if possible the lady who I spoke to last night who may have arranged this."
That cheered me up.
Have a good day everyone - not read back but not sleeping due to stress atm. xJuly 16 £95/£200

CEO of hospital has replied that it was all down to a 'flagging' error and should not have happened. Doesn't help but hopefully means it will not happen again. Three wards closed there due to norovirus so feel happy Mum is not in tbh.
Forgot to share the good news , school I am a governor at got GOOD, I knew on the day at the debrief but could not share. School has never been rated this high before so good news.
Right haircut time and then paperwork and flying for an hour before getting DS3 and the PE teachers son.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
dustykitten Huge congratulations and pats on the back for all the staff, governors, students and parents. What a wonderful result for the school.
BathroomnDone on Sunday. No real room of doom as such, but if I feel a little more awake when the coffee kicks in, I will probably do a bit of maintenance in each room. Main bedroom probably priority.
I also have a bag for Oxfam, but forgot it this morning when I popped into town after dropping DD at uni.
Very cross with myself, as managed to get time wrong for exercise class, and so turned up halfway through, too late to join in. They''ve carried booking forward to next week. Coordinator came out to speak to me, and I think he realised I could have easily cried over it. Silly, but just one thing too much when fed up anyway at being so tired.
Love, hugs, sticks and spoons as needed and wanted. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
