I had a productive hour before the school run. Picked ds1 up and nipped to the shops before swimming. Came home and did reading and spelling practice. Then made dinner, put kiddies to bed and then did an hour of work. Hubby then made me put the laptop away and chill out with him for the rest of the night. I did put the dw on before bed and put some clothes away. The kitchen is looking great and the living room, landing and bedroom are not looking too bad so my aim is to get them done tomorrow
    Updated list...

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Wipe the table

Tuesday - Living Room, hall and stairs
    Hoover floors including the stairs
    Clean a window or two
Declutter anything that doesn't belong in this room
Give all the remote controls and phones a wipe
    Dust the mantle and tv
    Extras
    Eat a frog
    Clean and polish some shoes

Wednesday - Master bedroom and Landing
    Clear landing
    Clear bedroom floor
    Hoover floors
    HH me time
    Clean windows and sills
Sort that box of stuff - you know the one! I'm sure we all have one somewhere, whose will contain the most obscure of useless item?

Bossy big hugs sweetie, you sound really fed up, thinking of you and the little moos.

Had a reply from MP with stupid response from hospital - they have picked the wrong person to lock horns with and lie to!

    Alvin is very clingy tonight.

I've stupidly agreed to join another committee, when will I ever learn, like I have free time for more meetings.

Put my foot in it tonight with a parent not realising they are a young widow. Not been one of my best days with taking the radio home from work and leaving some papers there.

    Bed I think.

    I'm sorry and I know I shouldn't have but I did :rotfl:

Wendywitch - hope you soon feeling better :)

I don't really use Facebook any more. I used it for a while when my son was travelling but we now stay in touch with Whatsapp and he also has a tablet he takes with him.

I used to be very involved in local and regional politics but not now I live where I do. I have always respected other's political and religious views and usually find it best not to get into discussions about these with others. Some do seem to get quite 'hot under the collar' when you start talking about these. It was especially like this last year when we had the vote here about devolution - I just stopped talking about it !!

Finished making the big pot of Bolognese and also a vat of leek and broccoli soup from yesterday, portioned and froze most of it - rest was eaten today/will be eaten tomorrow :j

Was at work again today - ran late again  so didn't get much else done apart from keeping kitchen up.

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep/mop the floor
Clean anything higher than eye level

Tuesday - Living Room and hall
    Level One
Wipe the skirting and picture rails
    Hoover floors
Declutter anything that doesn't belong in this room
Give all the remote controls and phones a wipe
    Dust the tv
    Extras
    Eat a frog

    Wednesday - Master bedroom
    Strip, wash and remake bed
    Hoover floors
    Turn and hoover mattress
    HH me time
Sort that box of stuff - you know the one! I'm sure we all have one somewhere, whose will contain the most obscure of useless item?

Thursday Rooms of Doom and Bathrooms

  • Just read tomorrows list, one quick question, in main bathroom we have gold plated taps, and I have been led to believe you can't use vinegar on these, is this right and if so what do people recommend?

It makes a change for me to be the first to post in the morning :)

It is silly o'clock. I woke up an hour ago, dying for a cuppa. I drink decaff tea, but am still wide awake. However, I have made good use of the time to deal with some more paperwork. The mountain that erupted on Monday is gradually being eroded away.

Will try to get another hour's sleep before an early start for our trip to London to see this exhibition. I'm very excited, like a big kid, because it includes one of my all-time favourite sculptures :D We're also going to meet up with DH's sister for tea.

At least I should be able to catch up with sleep for 2 hours each way on the trains, and there's wi-fi on board so I can keep an eye on you :rotfl:

Have a good day, everyone x

    You beat me!
Am on break. I have had a banging headache since I got to work last night. I think it's this place. I have had one every shift I have worked for a couple of months! I have 2 jobs I'm applying for. 1 I emailed tonight to see if they would consider a 1 year secondment !
After I finishe here, I have gym, must then go to tip and chazza shop to empty my full up car. I hope to find a tray of eggs in it. I bought a tray on Sunday and can't find them anywhere. I have £10 in my account and it's not payday until 22nd :(.
I have to make sushi after I have done all of this little lot, then sleep for a bit and then(!) get up, take kids to piano and do cubs. Not too busy a day then eh?!

    Morning all

Kaz I hope your headache eases.

    Ionafan enjoy the exhibition

Yoga this morning, haircut this afternoon and I need to collect DS3 from school cricket.

In between I must do a food shop, flying and paperwork and try to remember to go to the dump after yoga as it is very close by. Oh and street party meeting this evening too.

Morning all. I haven't caught up with the thread but just this page and I'm worn out reading. Ionafan - have a great day. Kaz - hope you feel better soon.

This morning I'm going to give the hobby room a quick clean, then gym, bath, and walk the dogs before the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.
