  • Pigpen :hello: I'm not sure how I'd cope with a friend having such a strong political view so opposed to my own. I feel for you but have no solutions. I think you're doing the right thing seeing how things pan out. Did you say he's gay? Surely other members would take issue with his sexuality? Anyway, supportive shoulder rub in your general direction xx

I've been for a tootle around Matalan and bought a few bits & bobs. WM has been on all day x 4 loads washed, dried & folded. I'm trying to get back to the routine of folding things from the TD instead of chucking them on the sofa. Roast lamb in the oven. Proper dinner tonight again. That's 3 nights in a row cooking from scratch and not cooking junk. I'm pleased because Thursday is 'Daddy Day' so goodness only knows what they'll eat :eek:

    Hi

Have lurked here for a while, but feel I have to say I HAVE FINISHED SHREDDING AS PART OF MY DECLUTTERING. Have decluttered all but 2 wardrobes and 1 bedroom left and then whole house DONE. I am making progress. It feels so positive. 10 years of office paper clutter GONE. 2 home filing cabinets Done. Food cupboards, DONE. Airing cupboard, DONE. DH clothes DONE. etc . Started on books, £17 traded into amazon. Success and 9 listed on ebay. Only 300 to go.
    I am on a roll.

Oh and has your new kittiecat ever come back home at all, I've been thinking about him for a while.

The jury is out.. it seems to miss a fair few of steps but I love the sleep tracker.. I wake up and thrash about.. a lot..

    No he hasn't returned :(

His sexuality is far from hidden, which is exactly as it should be.. his atheism is his choice and that's ok too.. none of that disagrees.. not disagrees, people are allowed to disagree with me.. is as strongly opposed to my beliefs but the policies of this party do and are.. they go against pretty much everything I believe in.. humanity, empathy, helping those less fortunate.. but he is important to me so I'm sure I will let it go, it was just a bit of a shock he would chose something so inflammatory. I knew he was considering standing but thought he'd go with something less controversial.. actually that one word made me realise I should have seen it coming.. it's just about rationalising in my own head.. I'll get there.. I shall avoid the topic after saying I disagree but that will be all.. I am a grown up, I am a grown up, I AM a grown up!!!

    lol lol lol

dinner scoffed, Tiddles flung to God Squad, OH out tomorrow night and having a 'bored' game night Friday.. or it might be the other way round.. I dunno.. I'm off to the pub if he is going bored.. need to find clothes!

    DW on

opticians appointments and dentists ones written in my diary.. at least I know kind of where I'm at now.. need to conjure up a workable budget though.

I seem to be getting myself on track again.. amazing what a few hours free of Dot does.. that child is REALLY hard work!

  • Had a busy day, restored / cleaned 8 items out of museum, these on now on ebay.
Finished off ironing, I am finding if I iron first thing while coffee is cooling slightly I can get it all done. Have about 10 mins worth to do tomorrow morning.

    Clear bedroom floor Already done
    Hoover floors Done
    Level Three
Turn and hoover mattress With help of hubby
    Dust the bedframe Done
    Dust any pictures Done
    Extras
HH me time - In (wo)man shed working with hubby, does that count?
    Clean windows and sills Done
Sort that box of stuff - you know the one! I'm sure we all have one somewhere, whose will contain the most obscure of useless item? I have 6 boxes under the bed, so I tattled one with great intent, not knowing what would be in it. Found numerous old t-shirts of DH (now in tool shed ready to be used as rags - they weren't even worthy of wearing to work on farm) pair of my old work jeans which I can't ever see me fitting into again, and a decent pair of work socks for hubby, put with all his others. Literally took 3 mins, hope the next 5 are as easy! Empty box is now folded flat and put neatly on top of wardrobe. After first box i'm hoping to be able get rid of all 6 and have an empty space under bed, that would be ace :)

    Evening all

Dusty - Gorgeous kittens and I'm not a cat fan ;)

I've lost the entire day to being labourer for the gasman (for my peace of mind!) as he's been bringing our boiler up to code. Biggest job was insulating the boilers condenser pipe which is 8m long and runs along the first floor level of the house. He was working in a narrow alleyway so I stayed around to keep an eye on him going up and down the ladder (as it was he slipped a couple of times when he was near the bottom) and pass things up to him rather than him having to come all the way down again. It took a good 4 hours in "real feel" temps of -1 and I still can't warm my feet up. :( If I had known I would be out there for so long I would have worn more layers and gloves from the get go! But it's done now, and he'll be back next week to fix the fire place which has been incorrectly fitted by someone else.

I got news from work today that they're moving my order & delivery dates as of the start of March so after all my planning at the beginning of the year I've got to re-do stuff. I've already had the corrector fluid out and whitened out all the dates I'd put on my year to view page. Tomorrow is a work day so I'll spend tomorrow afternoon sorting that out and reprinting my wall calender (I colour coded it so I can see at a glance where I'm working). On the plus side, most of my work hours will be at the start of the week now so I should be able to avoid working weekends :D Downside, bank holiday Mondays will now effect my delivery days. :(

I'm too shattered to do anything and I have work tomorrow all day :(

DD is in her bedroom practising her guitar, and I'm starting to get a headache now. I think she can come down and do a batch of dishes while I wash my hair and have a bath. ;) Looks like I'll be playing catch up on Friday, its not been worth doing any cleaning as I knew todays work would make a lot of mess.

    I'm planning a bath too.

Hit the end of my tether with work. Someone who I gave the papers to a week ago has now decided they want additions. It is to be sent in on Friday and I don't work (allegedly) on Thu/Fri  they really need to sort this !!!!!! out. Thankfully this person is leaving, so I'll set my stall out (again) with the next one. :(

DS still awake. Still clearing his throat literally every 5 seconds. Really hope it's not a tic :(

DW going, but for the rest of it, I CBA. The wind is howling again and I want to hibernate.

I'll wipe round the bathrooms while I'm running my bath I think. Cheer myself up, lol.

Gawd, January really is depressing, isn't it?

Cleaned 2 bathrooms and had a soak. Forgot to take my toilettries in so used the kids stuff, lol. My hair smells all fruity :)

DS sent back to bed. Little b@gger sneaked in my bed while I was in the bath. Cheeky wotsit.

    Need to pull myself together.
