I have to confess I haven't been up to much but the clearing at work is ongoing - because when we get 'the call' I want us to be tidy and, therefore, ready. So lots of 'proper' putting away and getting rid of carp *fling* is ongoing. Professionally we 'keep it just in case' so you can imagine....
But the laundry heap is reducing and I have used the Lakeland mould stuff at night (totally ignoring the wipe it off after half an hour instruction) and leaving it in place and I am well impressed - two goes and it's done.

I do the same here. I never rinse it off. Just make sure you use the same one next time, unlike I did and nearly gassed myself :o

Well tea was a big hit and DD has gone to bed "as stuffed as a teddy bear" apparently :rotfl:I saw this meatloaf recipe on the TV the other day and thought it looked simple enough for me to try. I changed the quantities to feed 6 instead of 8 due to the amount of mince I had, tweaked a few other bits (like using passatta instead of ketchup) and made 8 large burgers with it. We ate 7 of them :o So I've got a list of some other recipes from the programme I want to try so I'll be giving those a go as well :D Next time I make this though I'm going to try blitzing the bread to breadcrumbs, and making little meatballs instead so I can get more than one meal out of it.

Tomorrow I'll get on with the lists while DD does some revision. DD wants to watch the snooker as her favourite player is playing against mine from 1pm. So while that match is on, I'll do more admin ;) Right now I'm going to have some me time, and catch up on some TV.

    Hiya everyone

Thanks for the good wishes re my DS - I'll let you know when I hear anything.

Not done much except the dinner and then completely cleared the kitchen so it's sparkly as I won't be cooking tomorrow :j

I'm out for the day tomorrow - going to Edinburgh. It's my birthday and DH is going to buy me something nice, with me with him so he knows I like it, and then having a meal out in town. I don't really feel like it atm but I know he'll be upset if I take another rain-check. So hope the weather stays dry and not too cold.

Hope you all have a great Saturday. Hugs, sticks and spoons to all needing some

It's quiet on here this morning. Good morning everyone. I've been up about an hour and have got the meat out of the crabs legs so thats lunch sorted, and sliced the malt loaf for the freezer. Have just had four slices for breakfast. Time now to wash up, get dressed and walk the dogs.

Outside there is a frost although a few drops of rain too, so no gardening today. It will be cushion making and then anything else I fancy.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Happy Birthday Lynne

Just having a bit of quiet time, DD has just left for work, and DH and boys are still in land of nod.

Tried to do a load of washing, but after separating laundry, can tell DS2 has not put his uniform in wash and don't want to disturb him, so will wait till he wakes up for first load.

So plans for today are a bit of ironing, 2 loads of washing, 1 darks 1 lights.
Clear and polish top of drawers in DD's room (slow and steady wins the race.
Wall Climbing for 2 hours with DS1 this morning.
Then after lunch boys are having a sleep over with a friend, well actually more DS1's friend, but with them being only 15 months apart, luckily they are very close and never leave the other one out, their rule tends to be 'like me, like my brother' haha
So this means absolutely no point in tidying room, will do this tomorrow.
This afternoon will be a toss up between doing a bit of paperwork, or doing nothing, will see how the mood takes me.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, big hugs to all who need or want and a smile for everyone, please pass on :)
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

Morning. Just helped DD2 write out her c.v for her interview later. After dropping her off I'm going to go to the furniture charity shop to arrange for our old computer desk to be picked up (hope they want it) and then pick up milk and bread to drop at DD2's dad's as he's due back from his cruise  some point today.
Then home for some more jobs.
