    Morning All

    Happy Birthday Lynne!

So far this morning I've done WM x2, TD x 1 and sorted 3 drawers out in my BR including filling a binbag of rubbish and another one for the CS.

Hoping to sort all my drawers out in my BR today so I'll see how I get on.

    Have a good day all

    Happy birthday lynne xxx

I'm still in bed and contemplating getting up. Have nowhere to go today, just as well as we have snow and forecast more! Oh, going to my cousins tonight. She turns the big four-oh tomorrow so is having a little party!

Want to get some laundry done, sort the conservatory, really nail my meal plan and get the floors downstairs cleaned oh and dust my bedroom.

And hopefully a nap, or at least a lie down.

Tomorrow I will sort the spare room. And maybe plan the decorating. It's a small room so shouldn't take too long to sort but I need to give it some thought first.

Two birds one stone? :rotfl: loving the idea of you planning a nap when you're still in bed:A

Nicki - thanks for the heads up about not gassing myself (if anyone's interested IF you 'release' chlorine from cleaning products and breathe it in in your lungs it combines with water to form hydrochloric acid  - when I worked on the refinery we had an evac/emergency plan in place in case we released chlorine gas to the environment. It included closing the M1!)

Hello again. I've done a meal plan for the week, quickly hoovered downstairs, put the clothes away that were on the airer and walked the dogs. It was an all weather walk, frost, then snow, sleet, rain and finally sunshine. Its raining again now.

Just warming up with a cuppa and I'm going to read the paper and do the weekend puzzles next before deciding what else to do.

Thought I'd list what I've actually done from the lists this week:

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

Wipe the table and work surfaces
    Sweep/Hoover/mop the floor
    Level Two
    Wipe the hob
Clean anything higher than eye level
    Level Three
Make time for somebody else, a child, a pet, a friend - last week's events in France reminded us just how unpredictable life is
    Extras
    HHPaperwork or bill paying/budget updating
Dust any surfaces which need it

Tuesday - Living Room, hall and stairs
    Level One

Wipe the skirting and picture rails
    Hoover floors including the stairs
    Level Three
Declutter anything that doesn't belong in this room
    Dust the mantle and tv
    Extras
Recycle any old newspapers/magazines/catalogues (eg Argos)

Wednesday - Master bedroom and Landing
    Level One

    Strip, wash and remake bed
    Level Two
    Clear bedroom floor
    Hoover floors
    Level Three
    Dust any pictures
    Extras
    HH me time
    Clean sills

Thursday Rooms of Doom and Bathrooms
    Level Two
Clear and wipe one surface in the RofD (or bathroom)
    Empty the bins
    Level Three
    Hoover and wash the floors
    Extras
    HHI

Friday - Kids or Spare Bedrooms
    Level Three
Hoover as much as the floor as you can
    Wipe the window ledges
    Extras
    Clear wipe one surface

Not bad, seems I should be concentrating on the LR and bathrooms next week.
Spend less now, work less later.

£175 refund of premium due...this makes me very happy. :)

I'm so pleased for you! Very few advantages in the situation you're in, so good news because of it is always welcome.

Happy birthday Lynne, and please let us know when your Tarzan-like DS reports in safely via jungle drums or whatever.

CY families are just difficult, and your situation has sounded a bit emotionally tense since your mother moved, I think, closer to your sister if my memory serves me correctly. Can you ask your mother what she'd like from you? It wouldn't have worked with my mother (she'd have said, 'Oh, you know ...' - which I never did) but at least you'd be able to stop feeling both responsible and helpless.

The fallout from Wednesday has sort of knocked me a bit sideways, nothing specific just bad feelings from years ago resurfacing. I'm going to put it down to the January Blues and get myself to believe that it will pass with longer days, shorter nights, and time.

Top layer and middle layers sydoned yesterday which was more than I expected of myself and if Devil Cat ever gets off my legs I'll put some washing on because the forecast is 'Fine' and the mountain of laundry is toppling over.

The only person who seems to be coping energetically is Valli. Good on you!
    Better is good enough.

Happy birthday Lynne - hope you hear from your son today, which I'm sure would be the best birthday present ever.

DGS3 (aged 23 months) arrived yesterday afternoon and is an absolute delight. He slept well from 7.30 am until 6.10 am, babbled a bit to himself, but I said to DH "They don't pick him up until 6.30" and the next thing I knew it was 7.15 :) He ate a huge bowl of cereal for breakfast and has since demolished a banana and half a slice of toast.

We are off to the Sea Life Centre soon, so DH is putting the child seat in the car, and lunch is packed, then off we go.

Hope everyone gets some sunshine today, even if it's cold x
