cy congratulations to your DD!:j
Valli I think your weed is hairy bitter cress, and it's a menace. If you pick the small rosettes before flowering they are edible. It does explode seeds everywhere.
BoddyI hope you are feeling better now, take care.
I have had a lovely morning at a languages conference in London. It was a beautiful train journey up this morning, in brilliant sunshine, and all the fields frosted white. Quite a few areas flooded, but looked deceptively calm. I ran out of energy by the finish at one, so came home, picking up lunch from M&S to eat on the train. Since then, I've been tucked up on the sofa, with no plans to move:p;)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Congratulations to the CY's xBossymoo

Haven't had chance to catch up all week and housework has got left in favour of going to meetings, cooking meals and getting school work done. However, today OH and I have blitzed and I'm going to start giving him jobs to do on days he works from home as I'm a bit posessive about the cleaning. We've cleaned the kitchen, living room and bathrooms today, tomorrow the office and 2 bedrooms to make a bit of headway on!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Congratulations to your DD2, CY - great news!
We had a lovely day out at the Sea Life Centre, with the penguins being the most popular, closely followed by the sharks. DS1, DDiL1, and DGD1+2 came for tea, so the little ones had lots of fun together again (they had last seen each other the weekend after Christmas, though usually it's only a couple of times a year). One very tired little boy fell asleep almost as soon as he lay down in his cot
DS2 and DDiL2 are enjoying their rest, have done a bit of shopping for the new baby and been for a swim, and this evening they've gone to the theatre (our Christmas gift to them).
I will ring my friend in hospital after visiting this evening, just to check that she's not expecting a dozen visitors tomorrow evening (highly unlikely).
My electricity and gas bills are lower than this time last year, so my monthly DD has been lowered :money:
Just going to chill out for the rest of the evening0 -
Cy fantastic news, especially after the week you have had. I have been decluttering and generally pottering today, it's been quite restful. When we redid the kitchen we put a lot of rubbish in the greenhouse so I am hoping to clear some of it to the tip tomorrow.0

Flew all day.
Did major declutter work on cupboards under sink. Not delved into for many years. Everything out, everything scrubbed, dried and put back. Discovered a life time supply of sponge scourers, oops!
Otherwise no nasty surprises, threw 2 useless frying pans and 2 small roasters that were rusty.
Also did a few small areas of DD. Then hoovered, washed floor, deep cleaned 2 bathrooms, and kitchen. rotated endless washing.
I still need to do DS1 bedroom, Declutter and my 2 wardrobes. 1 of which is full of presents for the year ahead bought in sale etc and some random odd things, wedding hats etc.
Tomorrow am off to visit DS1 and family and will do nothing at all here. But at least as we are all going I will not come home to a bombsite.
Have a good night everyone, keep flying.:T0 -
Decluttered 2 old electric pencil sharpeners which have never worked properly.
Ionafan, your posts ooze with the love of being a Grandma.
Bossy hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Kittens stuffed full of chicken scraps so hopefully will stay in their basket whilst I iron. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
