Well if you already know, you'll know why your comment about being arrested at home was wrong.

you really need to loosen up and STOP with taking things literal your making yourself look silly, "knocking your door" as in "I don't give anyone a job who comes knocking my door (I.E someone who owns a business and people keep asking for a job no matter where he/she is if he is known to own that business)" or " trouble that comes knocking at your door" meaning that some is looking for you no matter where you are they will come knocking (a saying) (i.e to come and cause harm or in this case to arrest either that be in your car walking down the street in shopping center no matter where you are etc) you know a generalized term that encompasses a range of meanings and sayings. loosen up dude, they don't teach you to be a frigid (synonym) in the force.

Some years ago I was picking up my car from the garage. Whilst I was waiting the receptionist was ringing someone to say that their car had failed the MOT because it had illegal plates. She said that if they brought the original plates in they would fit them and the car would get an MOT. Otherwise, no certificate.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
