That's fantastic and must've made you feel really good. I always find it's the milestones like that which help me to keep going.
I was very happy this morning that I've lost another 2.8lb, despite a weekend which involved a bbq on Friday and birthday parties Saturday and Sunday.0 -
Well done Izadora! :j
Brilliant about the seat belt on the plane Tootallulah!
I've been off plan this week - started with the right intentions and kept fairly active, but as soon as I relaxed a little bit, I slid all the way off the wagon and I know I've had a gain, maybe five or so pounds. In a week!
I'll post the actual figure later on after weigh in. It just goes to show, I really can't afford to slip. Feeling very disappointed with myself but I'm going to put it right as of now and carry on.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Not good news for me on the scales tonight! 5.5lbs on. I did expect it, and I know where I went wrong... now I just have to put it right!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hi all, jps just chalk it up and move on in a couple of weeks it will be gone. Izadora you're doing well, congratulations.
Back after my break which was absolutely beautiful, lovely hotel overlooking the beach. My Mum spent a lot of time on the terrace reading I swam in the pool and the sea the weather was glorious. I feel like we both had a good break. Best of all I have no bad back or a cold for what feels like the first time this year - GREAT.
I am back on it today but I am not weighing in until next Monday before I went away I was getting a bit bonkers and weighing myself every morning - not a great way to be. So I have moved the scales into the other bathroom and will weigh in once a week on Monday.
Whilst away I re-read this diary we are doing good folks. I am going to copy my first three weeks of food in the rest of April which hopefully will get me well back on track as I do want to be minus 33lbs at the end of April. My god daughter is getting married at the end of May so I will also have a think and set a target for that at some point this week.0 -
jpscloud, although it's annoying when you've put on, at least you know where you went wrong so it should hopefully be easy (hmmm, nothing about dieting's ever really easy but you know what I mean...) to fix.
Keep remembering that it's just a blip and jump back on the wagon.0 -
Thanks guys, you are so lovely and supportive. I'm back on the straight and narrow today, and invested in an actifry. I've been umming and aahing for a year over whether to get one, and after finding out you can use fry light in it, I've finally got one.
It'll take a long time to pay for itself but I'm counting on it to save me from the lure of the chippy and all the fatty horrors therein!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Welcome back tootallulah! I agree, we're all doing a good job, sometimes it's hard to see that yourself though when you're used to being your harshest critic.
Distracting myself by making sugar paste bows and dusting them with glitter tonight, I've got a commission of cupcakes at the weekend and the bows and other bits need time to dry. Was concentrating so hard, I've got a crick in my neck!!
Been discussing a weekend break at the end of June with my 2 closest friends, so that's something to look forward to and incentive as well.Over futile odds

Actifry update: I made some "chips" with no oil, just a few sprays of fry light. They were lovely - not chip shop style, but the taste was much nicer than I expected and they actually were crispy like it says on the tin. I used Maris Piper spuds but will try cheaper ones as well now.
It will definitely stop me running off to the chippy... and that alone makes it worth its weight in gold! The big deal is that you don't have to turn the chips (or other foods) as it does that for you. You just set the timer and get on with something else.
I've tried some home-made meatballs with sweetcorn and onion in it as well, cooked really nicely.
I've got some sweet potatoes roasting in there now (just with a few sprays of fry light) and will have a taste of those in a bit.
Expensive but worth it, if you are as tempted by the chippy/takeaways as I am.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
