I think of it as blocks of butter... every half a pound is a block of butter gone! However you think of it, it really does help to visualise it in foodstuffs, for sure.
Hope you have a lovely holiday! I too don't feel any different yet in terms of size, but I can walk without pain and enjoy doing it now. That's such a difference really, and I'm so grateful for it.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
Weight loss journey started January 2015-32lbs0 -
Hope everyone's had a nice long weekend! Been trying to be good for the last few days. Everything's been pointed, even though OH did buy me an After Eight bunny, but at 15 points he had to be eaten in instalments!! I had a meal out and drinks last Thursday but all within limits and no more alcohol has passed my lips since then even though a bottle of Rose has been screaming DRIIIIINNNKKK MEEEEEEEEE from the wine rack!!!
I've been more active as well, so if I've not lost anything this week I shall cry, then drink the bloody wine!!!
Was burning rubbish in the garden incinerator as soon as it was dusk and everyone had taken their washing in, so now I smell like an old bonfire. :rotfl:Over futile odds

Well done gallygirl, jpscloud and tootallulah :T:T
I only managed 0.8lb off this week but, considering the amount of beer/wine I drank over Easter and the chocolate I had on Sunday, it's amazing that I hadn't put on. I think it was only because I really didn't eat very much at all Thurs/Fri that I got away with it.
I was back to being good yesterday though. I went for a lovely walk through Greenwich park and managed to stay within my points by resisting any alcohol when we went to the pub and having a nice diet coke instead. Yum...0 -
Day 94, 44 points.
Another good day, great losses jps and Izadora, good luck CWR, I hope that your hard work pays off. I made a classic mistake today and jumped on the scales I weigh 3lbs more than I did yesterday, will I ever learn? Definitely only weigh yourself once a week. Mind you the comparison of weight loss with butter is brilliant - I have lost the equivalent of 56 packs, thats a lot of fat that must have gone from somewhere.
My lovely niece came over today and cleaned my house and gave me a pedicure - Palma might be warm enough for sandals and now I can happily wear them.
I picked up my euros, checked in on line (Ryan Air the WORST website ever). Double checked the taxi and apart from packing I think we are OK to go.
One more day at work and then five days away.0 -
Thanks tootallulah, have also signed up to a team weightloss challenge thing at work, first weigh in tomorrow, so that's an extra incentive to keep plodding on.
I hope you get some nice warm weather in Palma, (don't envisage your butter mountain there as it will melt!) seems long overdue here now, although the last couple of days have been OK.Over futile odds

Oops, there went several more days!! Belated happy Easter to all, I had a couple of small eggs but actually didn't really enjoy them.
Well done on losses & ouch to the fall Toots, hope you're feeling a bit less sore & looking forward to your other 'trip' instead (hopefully with warmth & sunshine).
Weigh-in night - another 1 3/4 off, which is 9.5llbs in total so far (although I don't feel any slimmer at all?!). Feeling fractionally fitter I think.
No kitchen here as work has begun so making do with kettle/microwave and whatever we can manage. That should help!!
Have a good one all & "just keep swimming" (Finding Nemo for those not familiar).Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Yep, That's all we can do Squiggly Diddly!!
Pleased that I lost 2lb this week, hopefully back on track now, I DO NOT want another week where I gain, even if it was just a pound! Am starting to feel a little bit better about myself and I don't want to go backwards.Over futile odds

Hiya Squiggly and CWR, brilliant to be back on track. It is really beautiful here in Majorca, fabulous weather too. I. Hope that I haven't put on weight but.......have had a few G and Ts and rather a lot of lively crusty bread and butter. Oh well back on Monday and on the diet again, I didn't need a seat belt extension on the plane which was great and shows me that weight has gone even if I can't see it and it doesn't feel like it.0
