Today I did a slightly larger shop and spent £19.97 at A*di. Didn't have a pound for a trolley so just used a basket which meant I couldn't overspend!

Loving all of your YS spends. :p

  • After several NSDs I will have to concede and hit the shops today as I want to buy some cherries, apricots and grapes all of which are at rock bottom prices at the moment.

Dh is back from his 4 day fishing trip with his mates and has bought back crayfish, about 60 scallops and many kilos of grouper, cod and terakihi, enough to last several months. also went hunting while staying on the island, but no luck, however we still have plenty of venison and pork in the freezer, so it wasn't essential.

So lunch today will be grouper steaks with peppers stuffed with zucchini and baked potatoes with blue cheese. Have moved our main meal to lunchtime as at the moment by the time it gets to dinner I am too tired and can't be bothered eating. As DH is challenged in the kitchen he is suffering as well.
  • Well I am over budget hubby is having a rubbish month hes had an op and the stitches where meant to come out today but now being told they won't take them out for another week and hubby is in quitre a lot of discomfort so needed comfort food. I could have brought a take away or brought him something back and taken it out of another budget. However it made sense to go to farmfoods and spend the money I would have spent anyway on something to make him a fry up and stock up a bit again and get some treats like biscuits that would last longer came to £22 putting me over budget.
As long as no one minds though I am going to stay and keep addimg up as this is my first month doing this if I keep adding up I should be able to know better whatnmi spend for next month and I would miss the thread to much to go. A little fed up I am over but hey ho that's life.

WOW ! Well done on the fishing DH  Must admit to being a bit envious as I love fish and fresh fish is so expensive here in Scotland  we have to have it as a treat. One of the reasons we are going to eventually live in Spain.

Don't be downhearted as we all have to start somewhere. As you so rightly say - you're on a learning curve and want to improve and that's what it's all about. Stay in there and read some of the stuff on here - have you looked at the recipes yet at the start of the thread as they might give you some good budget ideas.

It will get better I promise you if you start to take on board some of the ideas on here. If you need some help just ask as there's lots of folks on here will give you some advice.

I forgot I needed coleslaw - so that together with the yoghurt came to £2.20 today.

I'm now going to try to make Sunday without going to the shops fingers xd :D

Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

    Hi all

Small spend this morning by hubby of £2.60 on his way home from work. Bread and juice. Little boy decided last night was the night to stay up late. By the time he went to sleep I was too tired to do anything other than sleep. Bread to be made once the school run is done.

    Yesterday was a nsd.

Have been asked to be godparents to our nephew when he's christened in April.

    £88.28/£500
    nsd 4/8
  • Just popping on to update my signature spends.

We've had friends staying for a few days but now they've gone will be eating the leftovers for a couple of days!

Think I only need tomato ketchup at the moment so that can wait.
