87 p on YS stuff on way home
plums - half today and half for breakfast!
spring onions - final ingredient needed to make blender soup (high speed blender, toms, baked beans, stock, onions, whizz up)
Big tray med. veg - adding to pasta, brown rice, salsa and onion cripsies for a storecupboard dinner/ tomorrows lunch.
Have less than 4 tins of tomatoes left now and it's making me tense!!! Oh boy.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -

Nice stash of breads reduced to 10 p at W8rose and a piece of fancy Gail's veg and tomato focaccia for 29p (it will be DS's dinner!) and butter, their basic butter is cheaper than discount supermarkets by a few pence per Kg if you buy the 500g packets, which I do - OBVS! 2 packs, 1 Kg butter to last us a few weeks I hope.
Also a dozen free range eggs at £1 per half dozen.
Total £7 (rounded up). Not bad! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi everyone! Can I join you all again? Now shopping for two after my wedding in November :j:j and I've asked DH to let me be in charge of food. And pretty budget spreadsheets (he saw mine from last year today and was a bit taken aback, lol). :rotfl: His idea of budgeting is just to buy stuff when needed and not worry too much. Bless.
Anyhoo, I kept all our receipts from Jan and we spent $460 over the month (might have missed one or two but that's near enough I think). I'm aiming to get it down to $400 this calendar month. Extra funds will be put toward a holiday in the UK in May... and a baby fund for 'the future'.
So far we've done a small shop last week and one massive one for this week - still need to get meat for this week but next week should be pretty small. I found last year I tend to do a couple of big shops a month and then just fill in the gaps.March 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU

Small spend of £6.87 yesterday.
Today has been the first day for a few weeks when I eaten anything like normal amounts and in fact managed a 3 course lunch. Am hoping that this signals the end to feeling nauseous every time I see food and feeling full after a couple of mouth fulls.
So today DH and mum had hm leek and potato soup while I had tomato bruschetta, then we all had fresh salmon, boiled potatoes and cauliflower cheese followed by hm lemon meringue pie. Everyone enjoyed it and clean plates all around.
Have just realised I have to go and get some lamb mince out of the freezer and typical its in the one outside :snow_laugMARCH £62.38/2500 -
Spend of £8.91 in sada today, however 6.50 of this was for flowers and card for Grandmothers birthday tomorrow, therefore a whole £2.41 spent on fruit for the little ones lunch this week. Added to a spend last Sunday of £5.49 in Sainsburys for the same things brings my total to £7.90/80 However lunch out was a bit more and may have to consider lumping that total in to next months grocery challenge spending. However no plans to eat out next month!Crazy Clothes Challenge 2015 20/350

Billie-Jo Lemon Meringue is my all time favourite dessert, and that one looks amazing. I'm really craving one now.
Smallish spend for me today. Spent £13.10, but £10 of that was covered with a voucher, so only £3.10 from my budget. :j:T Weight Loss (Start Weight 14st 12lb): 5/24 lbs :T
