    Spends today came to £27.68.
This was for: extra lean mince, chicken breasts x 4 , smoked mackerel x 3, salmon portions x 2, sausages x 4, curry paste, turmeric, paneer, coconut milk x 3, ribena, bread, milk.

That should keeps us going for a while!
Made lasagne for dinner. There is only two of us so will have loads left over. Also cooked all the mince and bulked up significantly with veg so will have a mixture in the freezer ready to go for the next lot of lasagne.

I wondered what you lot were going on about 'muscle food' then i goggled it and found the website :rotfl: looks good ,but my freezer isn't big enough to bulk buy so much :( oh and i will not be going anywhere near the horse meat! :rotfl:

    Hiya everyone

    Managed another NSD today

We had HM chilli wraps today, with tomato and onion salad, sour cream, sprinkle of cheese and HM guacamole :j

Will have to go shopping tomorrow though and have written week's menu plan and shopping list :D

I have found it beneficial now I've become used to writing a menu plan even though I don't always stick to it. Sometimes I have to swop things round for changing work commitments and sometimes add in something different and carry over the meal that was planned. It seems to work ok so far as most of my meals are HM and in the freezer or using stuff from the freezer.
Most veggies will fit with most meals, in some way, but I do have to keep an eye on salad stuff to use it in good time.

I need to have a freezer shuffle this week and write another list of the contents - I keep forgetting to up-date it when I use something or add something :o

How do others get on with all this ??

Hope you all have a super Sunday

I have a printed table of contents on the fridge door, which reminds me to add/take off things as they go in/our of the freezer.

It's not infallable of course but helps!

  • Another nsd here we had chilli for dinner and it was awfull think it was due to using turkey mince instead of beef and doing it in the slow cooker lots left as well and I of course can't waste it so any ideas would be great? Almost hit my 12 nsd day target now still not done any food shopping :)

Fry a lot of onions and garlic in some oil, add chilli and smoked paprika, a bit more salt and mix in the original chili, then serve it on top of tortillas together with a good amount of grated cheese and a splodge of soured cream on the side. Chop a bunch of fresh coriander and add it on top.

    I hope this will help!

Not long finished work so thought i'd update whilst trying to go to sleep ,( on again in morning :( ).
£6.59 spend last. By rights, should be £77.44 total.

    * edited to say I am slightly out as it totalled £75.28, but going to stick with my running total of £77.44 on YNAB as I update that religiously, but can't always update here as often.
