Evening all! I braved the supermarket this afternoon for a few bits, had to write a quick list in the car so I wouldn't forget what I was buying...brain like a sieve!
Spent £8.04 not great but not awful! Will probably have to get a few more bits over the weekend but I'll be trying to stay away from the shops as much as possible!Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017

A spend of £17.48 today on next to nothing for the money really
It was all just bits to go with things and rubbish the kids like ready for the holidays.
The only real food was 18 eggs, 5kg of potatoes and a YS fish pie mix. Still we aren't doing too bad with our budget and we are 2 weeks in to our 4 week month and the freezer is full to bursting and the cupboards aren't too Mother Hubbard ish either£36/£240

Hiya everyone
Looks like you're all doing well this month so far :T
I managed another NSD today.
We had chicken (freezer) with roasted beetroot and onions and croquette potatoes. I tried a recipe off the internet for the chicken, brushed with a mix of mustard, maple syrup and red wine vinegar. It was okay but a bit dry for me. I'm going to freeze the rest to use in something else another day.
Hope you all have a super Saturday

Good Evening everyone.
Just popping by to declare my spending for this week. The other day I bought some milk & apples for £1.69.
Today I went to Ald* for my main shop and spent £45.87. I have plenty of food in so need to do some meal planning to make the most of my shopping.
I have updated my signature to reflect my spends.
Have a good weekend everyone.:)SPC 11 #4450 -
I'm not doing too badly so far this month. I've taken lunch to work all week - salad left over from night before and soup. I've also taken my own milk as buying it at work works out expensive. I'm having a big batch cook day tomorrow. This evening I went through the freezer to find two lots of mince which I will cook tomorrow and pad out with some lentils to turn into Bolognese, lasagne, etc. to freeze for mid-week meals. Also found some bits of fish so that's fish pie sorted. All the bits of veg left over will either be veg sauce (Bolognese, curry or lasagne) or turned into soup for lunches.Books - the original virtual reality.
