Congrats on mortgage :) I'm also having problems with refunds. It's taking such a long time. I'm going to give mine 2 more weeks then I'll have to start ringing as they'll be well over the timelines. It feels like they are just waiting for us to accept vouchers instead but I'm patient.

Posting on here must have jiggled something in the universe as the am@zon refund was processed yesterday and just need to wait for it to hit the bank.  Also chasing a part refund from @rgos for damaged items that arrived last week. They’ve been totally ignoring comms so I raised a palpay dispute. Had email last night to say they are offering £30. I asked for £150 (half the order) probably a bit cheeky but if you don’t try... anyway PP will now make the decision as ive rejected the offer so hopeful that one will get resolved today.

Nice to see some rain today.  DHs day off today so plan is to potter and bake. Some bench and table legs arrived yesterday so DH will be making those with some wood we already have.

For the 1000th time we have taken house off the market and are staying put. We don’t want to do house viewings at the moment, market is very unsettled and we are all tired of the indecision.  Planning to spend some money getting the house as we would like it but at the minute concentrating on the garden whilst it is so nice.

June goals are to move bank account and possibly energy supplier bulb have been good but whack the DD up with no notice and they caught me out again this month upping it by £50. We are in credit so not sure why they did it!

No joy with any refunds yesterday. We did get a quote for new patio doors and back door as they need replacing. We are also planning to take down a few walls inside the house to make it open plan. Not very MSE but this was the trade off for not moving.   The quote was surprisingly good considering what we were expecting.

Still cooler and a bit grey here. Kids have sports session this morning and then a socially distanced walk in the woods with a friend.

Aim for me today is to start looking at products / prices to repaint our kitchen cupboards. Still in really good shape but they are a off brown and we want them a lighter cream colour.
Right must get on with the day.

All sounding good (apart from the refund issues). We have had a considerable amount of work done on our house and we generally find the quotes are lower than we expect. We had one yesterday and it was lower than we had imagined. One element of it is so low and we have put off doing it for a while which is silly really.

Although you might have some outlay over the coming months getting things how you want if you are staying put it’ll be definitely worth it.

@mazon refund hit the bank today but still waiting for PP.   Four refunds left to go.

Sold some items, slabs from the garden and some shoes and some survey earnings came through so £51.44 OP today.  Money earned for the month up to £51.39

Moved energy supplier yesterday. The bank however have redeemed themselves by sorting out the issue I had by not being able to OP the mortgage direct from their app. Considering how often I OP having to log in to the laptop to OP was a complete pain. All sorted though so will stay there for a bit as completely happy with everything else.

Went through my tshirts yesterday. I have 19. Is that excessive?  Various sizes. Some fitting some not. I need to get them down in number though I do wear them a lot!!

Another £1.30 OP sent today. 54p cashback payable would requested that and another refund done, just need it to hit the bank account. PP aim to resolve their claim by Tuesday so fingers crossed I get more than 10%.

Had a trip out to garden centre and shop to get stain for the garden table, picked up a 6 pack of plants and wrangled 20% off due to one plant missing.

Weather is looking wet wet wet today. Jobs this weekend are to paint the table and bench legs And to put up at least one of the three trellis’ needing to go up. One is simple, the other two are forming an arch so will take a little more time. Hopefully we can get a break in the weather to do them.

You’re doing fab on money earned already and OP only 6 days in. You’ve reminded me to go off and check cash back sites.

Your monthly earnings are fab debtfree. I'm glad you've been unable to come to a decision about the house, so much changed for you re: the house over the last couple of months. Hope you start to feel more settled now the house is off the market.

    thanks PF and Cath.

Well rain has stopped play. Bench and table legs painted. One side of the table and bench stained. Most of the fence rail is up. Another 15 mins and we would have finished it but the heavens opened.

Managed to do a bit of planting from My bargain plants and also potted on some seeds that needed it.

Fire is on it feels that cold and we have loads of excess wood to burn. I’m reading and kids are watching a film.

Very productive weekend. Bench and table made. Legs for the stools arrived today but DH still needs to make those. All the fence wood we had is up and we now need to order the last little bits. The garden is giving me a lot of joy and I’m happy we decided to stay put (for now)

Ordered a new back door and french windows as both let draughts in, one is so old I don’t trust the glass and the back door keeps sticking and the wood is warped.

Had annual letters from Tax credits. I don’t owe anything and level will stay the same next year so that’s one thing off my mind.

PP have said I have to return items to argus at my own cost. I don’t get it. We paid full price they arrive damaged and we have to pay return postage. I should have just accepted the 10% refund. Sigh. So now trying to get hold of Pp which isn’t easy at the mo.

    Never mind. Onwards and upwards.
