Have a look on FB for some local plant co operative things. I got loads of plants from ours including a climbing rose. They asked for a donation, I gave them £20. They said I was very generous. They would have cost me Over £40 from anywhere else.

So close to the end of the month now. We will need to have such a careful July as paying out for the windows means I need to build the savings back in again so we have a bit of a back up. Mortgage may take a bit of a back seat for a couple of months.Talking of plants above, I picked up some free tomato plants locally that someone had left out for the taking.Have had to buy some compost and a grow bag this weekend though. Building a huge planter is great but it also needs filling and would benefit from some compost dug through. Can’t decide what to do today. Weather looks changeable. Need to move some furniture in DDs room but will need holes drilling To secure the pieces to the wall and then the old holes need filling. Have a few books on the go so could quite easily sit and read. Might do some baking. Will probably end up pottering about. Do need to go and stake a plant that got a battering yesterday in the rain. Have also got some bits just lying around that need to have a permanent home or be gone.Have a good Sunday all.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

You were right PF re looking locally for plants though I need to abstain for a while!! Too many plants.Yesterday was super productive, was out in the garden all day although did stop to rearrange DDs bedroom which needed doing. Holes from securing furniture filled and need to paint those today.94p on surveys today. OPs for June finalised at £397.78 but that will annoy me, so will find £2.22 and round up June to £400.OPs for 2020 stand at 2766.84Money earned £170.46June OPs £397.78

The universe must have heard me as refund from jeteasy processed and money should be back in account in the next few days. My days of chasing refunds aren’t quite over. Moved energy suppliers and they both took payments. Grrr! So spoke to old one and it should be refunded next week. Should heard about another PP claim this week as well.In 7 days, I should be owed nothing by anyone!!Final scores on the door for JuneMoney earned £174.09June OPs £400.00

I can’t believe it’s July. 2020 is such a funny year. I’ve been doing lots of thinking during this time - too much time on my hands!! I won’t bore you with all of it but in general I’m going to make some changes one of them being looking after myself and losing some weight. I’m just going to set a goal of 7 pounds a month and will do intermittent fasting. Tired of losing and gaining the same weight so trying something that makes sense, doesn’t deprive me of anything and is a long term plan.I also want to get smarter with our money. Haven’t quite fathomed this out yet but every penny will make a difference. I was looking at the MSE email and saw the £5 off an am@zon spend. We have the offer it seems so I’ve cancelled an order for a home ed book and will reorder using that code. I also nearly have enough for another £5 am@zon voucher does will wait and use that as well. That will be £10 off the book. One home ed sub is due this month which is £36 for the year and there is no getting away from that. But I’ve just seen I can get 10% of another existing sub we have - will only save £1 a month but pennies make pounds and all that. Both kids have decided to stop an activity during lockdown for good so that will save is £40 a month going forward. No pressure from us, just time away has made them realise they don’t enjoy it that much. It’s been great that so much home ed stuff has been free during this time but the reality is that home ed isn’t free and for those of us mad folk who choose to do this all the time, it costs money! I do try though wherever I can to seek the best deals.July has a virtual OP pot as I miscalculated money put aside for the windows so needed to adjust. Money is therefore a bit tight so I don’t want to OP until the end of the month just so I know we are solvent!! 😂July.Money earned £1.75July OP pot £69.40
