  • Another £9.90 OP being sent today and with the regular OP on Friday - that brings February to a close on £204.77.
March is, I'm determined, to be a month of serious scrutiny on our finances with me trying to avoid as much petty spending as possible.  I'm also going to try and trial shopping at the supermarket more than deliveries to see how that works out for us.

    Payday and money shuffles done!
OP of £50.70 sent today as well to start off March, though I guess it's technically still February - but hey, I'm working with March's money!
Setting a strict budget of £100 each week for sundries, we are easily going through this and I want to know where it is going as I can't understand why we are spending so much.  This doesn't include bills, fuel or food but does include cubs sub, ink sub etc so a bit of is is accounted for, but not all. I'm going to log all those regular payments so i can set aside a block for them next month!
    £1 a day savings boosted to £121.

  • I’ve signed up to a free trial of YN AB so we can track those incidentals better too this month. The rest of our budget is nailed on and we do have categories that we save for each month for lots of things but I still think we fritter a bit more than we should. Be interesting to see how we both get on.
  • So £6.15 spent already on some craft items, but it was an intentional spend.  Kids also bought some stuff from their savings.  Earned 92p cashback on it and joined their member club for free so we got 15% off.
House selling very quiet, but I expect it to be.  This house will take time to sell i reckon!
Earnt £2.50 through nectar yesterday topping up at an E$$0 garage.  Slightly more expensive fuel, but I still gained with the £2.50.
Electricity bill gone out today and it was huge at £270 ish, but they underestimated january and we weren't here to read the meter.  That said, looking back at last year, February was a similar amount so who knows what we do in February to use so much power!  We don't have gas.
Done a few pr0filic surveys today earning about £2.80 and 15p on 1poll.  So close to payout on ips0s, but typically that last survey is eluding me at the moment!
Had a bit of a spring clean today and am trying to shift 40 things out of the house before the end of March, two went today, a book and a bottle of hair product that I am never going to use!

    Spends £6.15 / £100
    Items cleared 2/40
    Money earned £3.87

  • Another up/down night with DS with high temps.
Earnt a free £2.50 on TCB with the spend on the crafty stuff and another 10p on 1 poll.
Another two spends, ebay for jeans for DH and a quick shop at the c00p.  To be honest I'm sure this is where most of the money goes on stops at the c00p!
Quiet day ahead hoping DS kicks whatever bug he has picked up!

I did a huge declutter over a month a couple of years ago and think I'm ready for another one. I seem to be the only one in our house who doesn't like having two of one thing on the go (toothpaste, hand wash etc). Dh thinks nothing of opening a new one before the old one is finished. I'm trying to streamline our toiletries and cleaning products!

Hope your  Ds picks up, mine is similar today and although felt rotten at 6am says he's starting to feel better. I think it's that his temp has come down so will watch him as medication wears off.

  • Another £34.74 sent as an OP today bringing March to £85.44.
Huge declutter session done in DS's bedroom and 21 items recycled / binned / put in bag for charity.
£10 withdrawn from cashpoint to pay for toll as DH needed to take my car for a service.  Eye watering amount, but all budgeted for.

Productive weekend clearing up and sorting.  Whether we sell or not, the garage needing some sorting so DH is out there clearing stuff out.  I haven't totalled what he has put aside yet, but there is a whole window unit going and some old kitchen doors we have had for 10 years to be chopped up for wood.
DS still poorly, cancelled plans for tomorrow as he just needs to rest and kick whatever it is.

Sold an item from the garage for £5, got £1.55 from check0ut sm@rt after the food delivery arrived.  Also got £1.88 cashback on a planned / budgeted for purchase.  Sneakily referred myself to TCB so got £5 tesc0 giftcard and will get £12 cashback when I've gained £10 cashback on the new account.  So not including the £12 yet, I've made £13.43 this weekend.  Spent £16.11 on a birthday present.
