Many thanks to the opposition today for raising the profile of my portrait, which raised £51,500 for @CLIC_Sargent. A great cause.
Love this man so much

He's to be admired. Polled as one of the most liked and respected politicians. You'd never know it though the way he is portrayed. Definitely a marmite man0 -

It's not just 'general rough and tumble' of politics. Because if it truly was down to how successful a political party is, then the Conservative would be front page news in a negative way every day facing 'scrutiny'. And they don't. Not even when Osborne somehow conjours up 26 billion 'overnight' that he definitely didn't have a few weeks ago.
Salmond can't even take a flight to Edinburgh without it being negative headline news. I know which of those two above should be the most concerning to the UK public. And it isn't Alex Salmond attending FMQ's as an MSP.
tell me
do you think that the SNP are winning the media 'war' on social media ?
do you think social media is more important that the press?0 -

I'd say absolutely yes, the SNP are streets ahead on social media. You only need to look at Twitter followers of Nicola, Alex, mp's, msp's, bloggers & supporters to see they have a huge reach & following.
I wouldn't say social media was more important but equally so. All the news channels, journalists & media as a whole tweet frequently. News is instant and spreads quickly. I'd say I use Twitter for current affairs and Facebook for mind numbing.....I mean fun :-)0 -
I've just checked Twitter. Nicola over 260k followers, Alex 188, Ruth 31 & Kezia 28. What does that tell you?0

David Cameron has 1.2 million Twitter followers. Compare that to Nicola's 262k. Just less than a quarter of the PM's. Quite a feat for a small 'insignificant' party leader of a small nation. Scots are awake and aware.0
