you constantly post how the Scots (well SNP) are rubbished, lied about, ignored etc by Westminster and the London press
you further post how each such insult increases the support for the SNP (and hopefully independence)
so by now surely there must be almost 100% support for the much insulted SNP
many, non acolytes, simply see this as normal rough and tumble of politics and the consequence being under more scrutiny than formally
Scotland will only grow up when they become independent and loses that inferiority and persecution complex especially when they discover that no-one in the EU will even bother to comment on them at all.
But you are right; there is no point in posting this for at least a generation after independence0

You know Clapton the people who take the time to post and respond on this thread deserve better than your constant belittling & derison.
Why on earth can you not just try and have a conversation? Disagree & debate by all means but please stop with the sarcastic unremitting dross!0

The Conservative's garner nowhere near the amount of negative press and smears the SNP do. And Corbyn is just finding out the true reality of a hostile media. It's not just 'general rough and tumble' of politics. Because if it truly was down to how successful a political party is, then the Conservative would be front page news in a negative way every day facing 'scrutiny'. And they don't. Not even when Osborne somehow conjours up 26 billion 'overnight' that he definitely didn't have a few weeks ago.
Salmond can't even take a flight to Edinburgh without it being negative headline news. I know which of those two above should be the most concerning to the UK public. And it isn't Alex Salmond attending FMQ's as an MSP.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0

Leanne, Zag, Elantan have any of you watched the 'Altered State' videos ? There's three now. They're very good.. and a trip down memory lane of last year and leading up to the General Election. Press and media coverage is also touched on. Are insightful wee videos detailing the thoughts of prominent Yes sider's ( Derek Bateman etc ) that never really got any mainstream attention at the time ( and I suspect a lot of our own viewpoints ).
Who knew WeeGingerDug was so dapper.

Corbyn creates his own headlines. Michael Foot suffered the same misfortune. Sometimes people end up in the wrong jobs. The Unions created this situation for themselves in attempt to force out the Blairites. Bet their regretting their decision now. As no doubt were planning a winter of discontent. Instead Osborne gets a free run that will maintain support.0

I haven't seen any of them but I shall watch, cheers.
Isn't WGD a fantastic blogger? What a blow he had just before the ref last year, so sad.0

Media wise however. There do seem to be double standards and there's no point denying like some are here, that there aren't. When the 'depth' of a bow matters.,, ( Cameron bent at the waist to the Saudi's was far more of an embarrassment imo ).. or a flight to Edinburgh by Salmond.
But you're right about 'wrong jobs'. Perhap's Corbyn should take a leaf out of Alex Salmond's book and turn the negatives into ( usually humourous ) positives. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Ah, memories....... Wasn't it just an incredible time in Scotland. I've watched 2 parts and I'll watch the final one later.
There's so much that I'd forgotten, some of it painful to see again. Clackmannanshire. I'll never hear that word again without a feeling of dread :-(
I think Derek Bateman was correct that Yes were enthralled by the campaign and No just wanted it to end. I think his summing up of why we lost was pretty accurate too.
I agree, wee ginger dug is very dapper and speaks in a way ordinary people understand and can relate to. He made some great points.
It made me think again at the media slant during the ref and realise that our msm does not represent all of Scotland any more ( if it ever did) We've changed and become more aware & critical of what is reported.
I did like James Cook and I'm sorry he has taken a new job abroad but Nick Robinson was rightly criticised for his reporting.
One of my favourite clips from last year was the imperial masters. That wee guy was hysterical. The other was Dougie McLean and his flash mob singing Caledonia in Glasgow. Just beautiful.
 I'm feeling very nostalgic now.0
