We've already been round the block with Holyrood salaries earlier in the thread. I posted several links for you to read.

And you'll have a referendum on the union in 2017.. the EU one. Isn't that enough for you to be going along with ? ;)

always one to avoid the actual issues

do the links say that Nicola generous pension will be linked to the high nominal salary or the net amount she chooses to take?

and do they explain why the (fairer and more equal society ) SNP voted for the high first minister salary ?

Still on Plan A I reckon.:)

    Didn't you get the memo?
...Discussion appears to have focused mainly on the political situation, with the FM stating that she wouldn’t want a formal coalition with Labour; that the SNP would almost certainly have a large number of seats; that she had no idea ‘what kind of mischief’ Alex Salmond would get up to; and confessed that she’d rather see David Cameron remain as PM (and didn’t see Ed Miliband as PM material)

But he didn't, and this blew a hole in the primary SNP plan.

This isn't any different to those regions which voted Labour. They too would love to influence policy, but they didn't acquire a mandate.

I don't see what makes the SNP so special. If they want to play a bigger role in UK politics then win more UK seats. It's not a complicated formula really.

The SNP won't be able to set the agenda. Despite 56 Scottish MP's at Westminster out of 59. That's entirely the point.

Scottish MP's, whether they are Labour/LibDem/Tory or SNP cannot set the agenda in any reserved matter concerning Scotland, if Westminster doesn't want to listen ( 59 MP's to 600 )... All they have to do now is prove it beyond doubt. With a bit of help from the Tories, Trident, welfare cuts etc etc..

Just a shame that Labour thing didn't work out. And isn't likely to for a while. The Tories will roll this SNP/Labour thing out for every election now if the SNP become a Westminster fixture. I don't think Labour want that either.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

They don't want to play a bigger role. They want a much, much smaller one.

I think this thread has just about played itself out.

So you admit that the reality was "Vote SNP, Get a Tory Government".
