And yet they're usually rated as being trusted more.
So are UKIP....
Which tells you all you need to know about "trust" when the nation is in the middle of a fad for anti-establishment parties.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Interestingly the latest polls disagree with that statement:Fewer than half of voters trust any of the main political party leaders enough to lend them a tenner, according to a survey.
Asked if they would expect to get back a £10 note lent to a party leader, just 49% said Prime Minister David Cameron would return it, against 48% for Labour leader Ed Miliband and 44% for Liberal Democrat Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
The figure was 40% for Ukip's Nigel Farage and 35% for Scottish National Party chief Nicola Sturgeon.

Perhaps as people discover the extent to which the SNP were at best 'optimistic' or (more likely it would seem from this opinion poll) deliberately lying about the potential finances of an independent Scotland the more they realise that the SNP can't be trusted.0 -
Well now that the Scottish Parliament are to have these additional powers, maybe the SNP are actually in a bad place, given their obsession with separatism.
If the living standard of Scotland goes up, it will work against there being an appetite for change. If it goes down, or there is not much change, the SNP will get the blame for not using the new powers properly, especially if they are seen to have been working against success and moaning all the time (as I suspect they will not be able to control themselves). The whining nature of the SNP will act against their cause.
I would expect a rapid implementation of the new Devolution for Scotland after the next General election. . . . and if the SNP try to stall the process . . Well we will all know won't we!
Then there is the 7 year itch. People being as they are, the Scottish voting electorate will want a change . -- maybe as early as 2016. The next Scottish Election should be interesting.
These are not real powers, they are powers that will if anything strangle the SG .... Linda Fabiani, John Swinney, Patrick Harvie and Maggie Chapman have a lot to answer for ... I have a meeting with Linda Fabiani to hear her excuses for their behaviour, i will be very surprised if there is anything they can say that will make me believe they didnt sell out the people of Scotland....0 -

Crocodile tears there elantan, cynically manufactured complaints simply because the Nat wish list is not covered and without regard for the result of the referendum.Union, not Disunion

The people of Scotland voted for remaining in the UK and against becoming independent. We did not vote for more powers, for devo max, or for anything else that wasn't on the ballot paper.
Some of us don't want more powers in Holyrood, but rather for it to be abolished completely, and all powers to revert to Westminster.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

string
if you think 70% or taxes raised in Scotland still going to Wm and 85% of social security spending still being decided by Wm as as near to federalism and devo max ... then you really need to get out more and learn a bit...
I was a thorn in the side of the YES campaign, i am not a member of any political party, and spent as much time arguing with the SNP SSP And Greens as i did No voters ...
you seem to think i am a Nat and you really couldnt be more wrong ... but i will leave you to your deluded state of mind as it seems to make you happy0 -

incidentally not every one did vote for that
but you did ( obviously)
And i absolutely respect that ... but that doesnt mean that they should not have done their job0 -
but that doesnt mean that they should not have done their job
Their job was to explore the topic of devolving further powers within a context acceptable to all major parties so that an agreement can be reached.
They have done that.
What did you think their job was?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

In the case of the smith commission it was to ensure the vow was delivered
The near to federalism and Devo Max that was promised by Gordo0
