Hi i didnt mean anything by it mate, sometimes my humour dont show through in these boards.
i'm in hong kong at the moment. very hot today.
No wurries lewt, thought you meant you lived there - if so I'd be jealous! Snowed again last night and more forecast but for now it's sunny, if cold. I don't do cold :snow_grin
Big Congrats Jo and Shaz, you made your first week one day at a time - brilliant :T and great news about the test - phew, that's always a relief!
Just had a run in with a holiday company who've screwed up my booking so I'm saying the Serenity Prayer over and over. And no that's not a smile on my face, I'm gritting my teeth, lol. It's bad enough I'm taking my 87 y/o mother (who drinks like a fish) but they've changed the departure airport - apparently they can do that as long as they give notice. No compensation though of course..
Ah well, this too shall pass. Even if not soon enough sometimes
Have a good day all and take care

Hi again and thanks all for your warm welcome
Hi Brodev, old and bald don’t necessarily go together, my ex OH was bald at 30 – he blamed it on his Army cap. Funny that, my Dad was a career officer and wore one too – and he had a fine head of hair at 70! Are you darn sarf on hols? I was in Scotland once, it rained for 10 days so I swam out again…
It is good to see everybody doing so well.Something Really Interesting0 -

I've just got back from an AA meeting, haven't been sat in a group of people and talked about my addiction for nearly 2 years. Is it normal to feel so depressed afterwards? I totally got everyone there and there was only 1 or 2 'sad' people, most others were talking about their freedom and how great everything is now they're sober. I just feel empty now I've got home. I don't have much belief in myself anymore, struggling to live a day rather than panic about tomorrow, next week, holidays, xmas etc...DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Hi Jo
I don't have any real answers I'm afraid - I was quite 'high' after my first meeting, but crashed after the second one. Took me a while to start feeling okay again, but was told to keep doing the right actions, and the right feelings will follow. I struggle to stay in the day, but with working at it, and talking about it, I've found that its getting easier. I've found that the happy people still remember just how hard it is for the newcomer. I tried to focus on how one day I'd be a happy person
I'm finding it hard at the moment. I'm annoyed that I'm in a place where a 200ml fanta costs £4, but a pint of beer is about £2! I'm so thirsty and fed up of water! Of to my first Polish meeting tonight, hoping it'll be as welcoming as the ones in England.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
