Also, i have smoked no pot today, only the first day but its a whole day, i know its not much to some but i smoke(d) it constant, morning to night. Its a bit of a nightmare but im just trying to keep myslf busy. One day down, woohoooo x :j

i dont think there is a chat room. maybe we could set up an msn group at a certain tie ? i dont knwo im just throwing ideas about here. there is also www.stepchat.com
where there is people on most of the time. it is 12 step groups though but you seem interested in that side of things so its all good.
im in the uk too i think most are but i could be very wrong about that.

ty lewt, i found the thread just scrolling thru the money saving site, a godsend really, ive been reading it for a week or so before joining in, didnt take long lol. Its lovely and friendly and non-judgmental, just what i need really. Its lovely that, even tho you know theres loads of people going thru the same thing, that you are able to talk to each other. Im on msn so if anyone would like to chat, if youd like to pm me i'l give you my msn, would be great to chat. Ty again all. Im going for it tomoz, first night without drink or anything else for a long time, i can do it, ive prepared and am ready, i will do it if only to post on this site that i have, that sounds funny but it means a lot to me as i wont have to lie, i seem to use the phrase if you know what i mean a lot, sorry about that. i apologise in advance if theres a million posts by me tomoz night, im going to use this site as a way to get thru, my higher power will be here for now. hiya lewt, im female, in a very steady relationship, 3 kids, lucky that my oh doenst have a drink or drugs prob and is very supportive, i count myself extremely lucky. Ive nearly ruined it sooo many times, unfortunatley, and im not bad mouthing him, no matter how much i try and explain he doesnt understand, which is fair enough in my book. He lives with me so is used to it but i sometimes find myself using the fact he doesnt understand totally as an excuse to drink more, if u knwo what i mean, here i go again lol, i havent told him i wont be drinking tomoz as hes heard it so many times, i look at his face whenever i say it and u can see he doesnt believe me, of course, he has a reason not too. x Weve been together 8 years, hes seen it all and id like him to be proud of me, he is for other reasons obv, but itd be nice to show him i can do it, then he would be proper proud x He has been with me since i got clean off the other, itd be nicfe for him to have a wife that isnt always off her face, and if she isnt she isnt moaning! U can see in him hes lost all faith of me ever sorting myself out, its natural i spose really, doesnt make me feel good atall x

im sorry if ive made people feel uncomfortable, i just felt i needed to be honest, if im not honest now on the comp, i never will be, and to tell you the truth i am completely sick of lying to people to make myself look more like them, the non drinkers so i fit in)even though its perfectly obv when i show myself up drinking every single time in company of 'nomal' people that dont drink like me. Thats come out bad and i wish i was like the people that dont drink to excess. Im sorry x

Hi Star nice to meet you. I've been reading your posts and your honesty is refreshing. I know what it is like to live a lie. You seem to be really wanting to get sober again and I feel as if I must be just as honest with you. Get yourself back to the meetings. I know that you know that is what is needed. You are in a different position from someone who has not been before. You KNOW it works. It has worked for you before and you KNOW it can work for you again. When you first went you could only hope. The problem may be a bit of pride/ego needs to be overcome but as the old advert used to say you know it makes sense.
I must thank you for bringing back to mind that feeling of how good it was not having to lie. I wish you every success
