Hi Milly! Not usually about at this time of day, but for some reason I can't sleep! Very proud of you for not buying. Big pat on the back!
It's my birthday today, and we're going to have a very moneysaving birthday - not because I particularly need to, but because I want to. It's quite a fub challenge. My son and aunty will be making some scones for a cream tea later - how very civilised. And we're having a birthday 'dinner' with some old friends tonight. Knowing them it will involve peach schnapps!
I will be getting Martin's money diet & thrifty ways books today (I ordered them myself to be sure!) so am looking forward to browsing through them later. (I've got very boring in my old age now!)
You take care, and keep posting. It's good to know how you're getting along.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Self-image is a tricky thing. When we are young and slim people tell us we are too thin. When we put on a bit of weight we are too fat. They never seem to tell us when we are absolutely fab-cos they are jealous! I spent my youth critiscising myself and now I look back a the photos of 20-30 years ago I feel sad! Why? Cos there was nowt wrong with me but I just couldn't see it! I was slim and others were jealous. Theres always bits of us we would like to change but if we did, we still would find more wrong. Confidence and happiness comes from within. It is not how we look, it is how we feel. I spent my thirties and forties telling myself how good I look up by the "average". Sure, there will be some who don't agree but guess what-I no longer worry about this. Learn to love yourself for who you are and not what you have or how you look. Others will hopefully like you for your mind, and when you become less self-conscious you will be able to concentrate on others more. You do need more hobbies-other things to do apart from online shopping-it can be the equivalent of gambling! Unless you have an auction ending, for something you are selling, don't even look on ebay. Its a gamble with clothes on there as you can't try them on.Set yourself 3 days a week which are "no spend days". Thats both online and shops. For each of thes days try to take yourself out somewhere or fill the day with activities. They will cost you less money longterm and you will be living your life better. Good luck-you can get out of this habit and learn new ones.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Haven't been online in ageeees cos I've been moving. Now I'm bored and all I want to do is spend money! I'm sticking at it though, I'm definitely not overspending. To be honest I haven't seen much I have wanted to buy recently, online or in the shops.0

Well done for not spending. What's the new place like? I've been wondering how you're doing.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

yeah things are going really good, was so hard at first but things are getting better now. I've had a bit of a slip up, but I've banned myself from shopping for at least a week! it doesn't sound much but it's a lot for me.0

How is it now? Its time that tells. Sometimes a whole change of environment may just help.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

i know exactly how you feel about ebay.im doing nothing but selling and buying on ebay for the past 6m, the money i have made on their within the past 3m has been spent on things for my house me and my kids.although it does make me feel better, especially things ive bought for the house as im too house proud and like my house too look nice. i normally sell the things i dont want and replace them with modern things for example instead of having big lumpy wardrobes and drawers ive got rid of all of them on freecycle and bought a new canvas set for us all.
i really should stop buying on there, but ive just bought my other halfs bday pressies and my sons pressies.and i know they will like them.
but to be fair buying on ebay i find it saves hassle going to town and spending even more money and standing in all them queues and getting annoyed.theres pros and concs to everything.!:j proud to be dealing with my debt:j
