Aww. I sure you'd look lovely. Ever watched how to look good naked? It's a mental thing. They always percieve themselves as worse than othe rwoman, who are actually signigficantly bigger than them.
If it upsets you, then comfort exercise instead. Surely knowing it'll make things worse can motivate you? Walk the dog 3 times a day and youll feel loads better for it.
That's good about the purchases. Well done. Who need ebay eh? How;s the minimalistness going? That should make it very easy. And a good habit to have , as cleaning is a doodle without the usual crap in the way.
Take care and stick at it.0 -
Did you think about starting a No Ebay Tat club on here? I bet it'd be popular and would be a big help to you and others.
i'd join!!
What's your plans for today? Make a list. Ticking things off is always satisfying.0 -
I sense a negative attitude with the dog. You're letting him down with that attitude
We got a couple of rescue dogs when i was a kid. I got one to beg and shut doors. It was fun.
I drive by a dog agilty course sometimes and always thought that looked fun. For dog and owner.
Even the basics like sit, stay, heel and come are fun. And a very good thing for any dog to have. Could save them getting shot or runover at some point.0 -
I lost my dog to cancer a few months back. Enjoy him while you can.0

Morning - oops I mean good afternoon, milly and ixwood. I was shattered after a very long week and didn't wake up until 11am. I'm still in bed

Milly, you're not going to feel better all at once. We have no magic wands! Not making yourself sick and no purchases yesterday is great. Small, big steps at a time, that's what I say.
Ixwood is right, focus on the exercise (but not at a level you can't maintain). Ref comfort eating, which I do too (I am 'cuddly'), I am finding supermarket shopping monthly rather than than weekly is great. I am so focussed on maintaining my monthly food shopping budget and using up rather than chucking out food, that I am actually losing weight without trying, not much, but it all adds up.
Keep smiling, girl. See you later.
Ixwood, thanks for the top tip on 'copying' - I shall try it now:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Hi,
I'm obsessed with ebay too - but only because it has made me so much money! I have sold loads of stuff on there and if you too are selling and making some money thats not such a bad thing. I sold over £400 worth of stuff there last month and that went straight into buying stuff for my new house.
What i'd recommend is:
For selling: Make sure that you try and get paypal only payments and keep all the money in that account. List all the stuff you say you buy but would never wear, no point in wasting it, there is money to be had!
Then buying: Definitely get yourself registered on auctionsniper.com, its an automated way to bid at the last minute, some call it cheating but as a regular seller i know that its a fact of life with buyers now, since using it myself i am definitely getting items a lot cheaper. And only buy stuff with your Paypal balance so technically you are "swapping" items as rather than buying it with money from your wages.
Thats the practical ebay stuff... regarding the other points you've made, if you are obsessed to the point that you cannot take your mind off checking, sounds like you have a minor form of obsessive compulsive disorder which is brought on by anxiety. ***I'M NO DOCTOR so am not suggesting this is definitely the case**** but as someone who has suffered from OCD in the past (along with 1 in 8 other people) i dont see it as something to be ashamed of at all, many people have different ways OCD presents itself such as tapping, hand washing, putting things in a line.... if you have it then checking is your OCD trait.
Have a chat with your GP if it is taking over your life and let him or her decide, but from a practical point of view if you are obsessed with saving - dont change that!! Just look at measures to curb the spending side of things and be honest with yourself about the reasons you do it.
Very good post. First thing I thought when I read the OP.0 -
Just a quick update. I'm going away tomorro morning, just packing now. Im extremely tired but have barely slept the last couple of nights. I don't think I will sleep well tonight either. I know that's a really negative way of thinking but I can just tell!
Been pretty busy the last few days so not quite so much time to think about ebay etc. Although I almost bought a pair of shoes I can't afford (not ebay). But I didn't....I hate all my clothes! I have a lot but I like hardly anything. Maybe when I move I will treat myself to a few nice things... It's rubbish having no money when all you want to do is spend.0 -
Hi prettymilly, hope you are okay and that you had a lovely weekend. What're you up to this week?

Hey

thanks for asking, I had a lovely weekend. Saw some people and had a good rest, it was fantastic! how about you?
I've been so so busy this week and it's only going to get worse but it's keeping me focused. I haven't bought anything since I last posted but I received some things I bought before then and it was all rubbish! honestly. I bought some shoes and they didn't fit, and I bought some clothes which weren't that great when I got them. It really put me off buying anything. That and the fact I am totally totally broke just now. xxxx0
