ok kitchen s&s. DW loaded and one load of wash done. Going to have a quick tidy of living room now as it will only take a couple of minutes then go to bed. That'll give me a start off for tomorrow. Been nagging the kids for ages to clear the toys out in their rooms and they have been ignoring me. Told them if they do it then they can sell it at car boot and keep profit as they both want to buy nintendo ds's. Well jeezo if my DS could have got his bed out his room it would be just about empty lol5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Morning all,
I'm going back to work today, feel a bit of a fraud as I'm 100% better and they'll never believe I was ill, big believer in having 1 day in bed at the first sign of illness so it doesn't become a whole week of struggling.
Aimeelister, you are the Queen of Using Up. I thought i'd done good at the weekend but I bow to you! My one cat will steal salad off my plate and Bob, well he'll eat pretty much anything I offer him. I think he may be a labrador cat..
Lil_me, enjoyed the Megan vids, how is Holly settling with her new mum?
Hugs to those who need them today, welcome to the thread Essex-girl, lots of Newbies this week, hope it goes some way to helping with your chaos. Just enjoy the company of the lovely folks on here otherwise!
Right, up and at 'em. Must remember to cough or limp or something when I get to work.
Oh, just checked online bank and I have backpay, I SHALL go to the ball! well, get my car serviced really..

Hello everyone - can I play too?
I've just left work and am having two months at home before I start university - I'm having the break mainly because I have had severe depression and need to get on top of things before I start my course (long daily commute).
Coming on MSE over the last few weeks has really helped me, and I thought that taking part in this thread too would give me a kick up the backside to get in control of the housework and decluttering. When the house is a mess I definitely feel more depressed and then even less like tidying up.
So, here we go - I'll start with Level 1 today, and see how I go.
I look forward to getting to know you all!
Julia xx0 -
SolwayKid- pleased you are feeling better. I completely agree, a day of rest at the start of feeling yucky and work wonders.
Mermaid- sorry to hear you are having a stressful time over whether your move with happen or not.
Hugs and hellos to everyone on yet another sunny morning, 2 in a row! :j
As well as lil_me's list today I need to
do a mini shop
buy school uniform
buy iron and do the ironing
drop off rest of glass at recycling bin
Tomorrow we are off to Bournemouth for the day to celebrate 4 years ago when we all travelled home from DS's foster home and became a family. We always have a day out to celebrate. Then Thursday we are off to London to see DS's brother and his nan and we're staying over with my sister-in-law and won't be back til Friday teatime. So flying after today will be minimal.
Not going far from home today as DS is tired and with a hectic few days ahead of us playing in the garden will be as much as we do after we've done the trip to the local shops.
Enjoy your day....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Had a good day yesterday, think it help that one of the little girls who lives in our cul-de-sac came over to play for an hour or so. While they all bounce on the trampoline I got loads done in the garden.
Sat having a cuppa and toast so will crack on in a min - gonna set the timer but I think the majority of my jobs will take less than an hour! Flylady makes life so much easier so those starting out stick with it.
Result on the Xmas thing, DH has told his mum we are having it at home ALONE!! First time ever - time to start those family traditions me thinks:D:j. Talking of which NICKI I really liked your xmas film fest idea (I love Muppet Christmas Carol too).
SOLWAYKID - DH was ill on Sunday, looked like he was coming down with flu, he went to bed about 6pm and woke up the next day fine like there had been nothing wrong (he said someone else at work had had the same thing). I think this messed up weather is to blame and creating new bugs.
JULIAPENGUIN - Welcome and good luck! Lots of support and no finger pointing if you dont get things done, leave it till next week it soon comes round again.
MERMAID- Sorry about the house moving thing. It really is a nightmare I remember all to well the 5 months of panic I felt, once the solicitor phoned to say we had completed it felt like an elephant had got off my chest and I could breath again. Definately not in a hurry to do that again
TINSELFAIRY - Thats lovely, wishing you a happy "Family Anniversary" for tomorrow.
Later everyone.....just one more cuppa0
