Quite poopered as i have been very energetic all in all today, and only really just stopped. However, no rest for me yet as i need to give the bathroom a quick going over as i have arranged for my friend from work to visit tomorrow, and as she is 5 months pregnant i dare say she may need to pop in there at some stage if i remember correctly what it was like. I'm going up for a bath anyway, so i'll just do the loo and sink while the bath is running, and then the bath when i get out. Knew i should have made the effort to do it at the weekend. :rotfl:

AimeeLister - I can believe that cats will eat all sorts of weird things. Our old tom cat would do anything for chapatis. No cheese is safe in our house, and our eldest mog has developed a taste for stilton! I must try mine on marmite, if only to see their expressions!
Lil_me - there is always one. They often do a grumbling fade when they find that they are not getting away with stuff, and they are usually more trouble than they are worth so it is not a hardship.
Well, where has today gone. I seem to have run round like a lunatic, I am shattered, but I have got nothing more off my list than I had at lunchtime. To be fair, one batch of home made hob nobs have been made and sampled, and I have been in and out with washing, but DS has not been a happy bunny and I have been cuddling him a lot.
I have got to try and get myself together. No matter how hard I try, I don't seem to be getting further forward. I don't even have time to keep up to my lists, I am always being dragged away by another urgent task.
I am exhausted, off to bed. Nighty night all.Always another chapter0 -

Well I have decided that I am not trying to play catch up all week. The house is looking so much better but I'm spending nearly all my time chasing round to keep it that way. I need to spend some time doing stuff with the kids - I have the rest of this summer to give them time before going back to work and I need to give it to them.
Anything from the list that isnt done on the day will have to wait until next week, and I must remember I dont have to do it all. I am not and will never be superwoman so stop trying to be it.
so todays list finished up like this
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike] - done
[strike]Clean floors[/strike] - done
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances[/strike] - done
[strike]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/strike] - done Saturday

Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
Clear one hotspot, or just spend at least 5 minutes tackling it
Make any important calls you've either not got round to or been putting off!
Tidy coats, shoes and bags
[strike]Using the idea Shirley suggested, get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be[/strike] - clutter is only in the hotspots now
Spend more time with the kidsMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Been a bit down in dumps today - house move may not go ahead as there have been problems with the survey on the house we want to buy. People selling it are not likely to renegotiate the price, so we're debating (endlessly) whether or not to go ahead with buying it.
Now off to do 3rd WM of day and load DW.
Tomorrow
Ring Lloyds
Ring Barclays
Must cut grass
Make optician & dental appointments
Copy photos onto memory card
Drop photos off for printing
Now off for early night so I get a good run at things tomorrow.
Sweet dreams! You only get one go at life, so grab it where it hurts, shake it hard and get everything out of it you can!0 -
Kaz :T I totally agree, if I miss anything myself it just gets done next time round unless it's urgent. I was supposed to rearrange furniture at the weekend but spent more time with paints pens and glue than moving things, as long as I do something and it's ok, it doesn't have to be perfect. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
