A big wave hello to all our newly joining flybabies!
Good to see you here! You will find loads of support and encouragement here.

    As for me:

    I am BEAT!

DH and I have just finished up upstairs in the big girls' room.
For those who don't know me: We've got 5 kids.
our oldest (16 yrs old son) has just moved out to live with his dad in the USA for the next two years to go to high school. We have 4 girls remaining.
    Aged 14, 11, 9 and 3.

The 9 and 3 yrs old now share a bedroom, which came up absolutely lovely.

Girls 14 and 11 yrs old share the big bedroom now in which all four of them used to sleep.

Today we mounted shelves and cabinets on the walls, and seperated the room into three parts using big floor to ceiling curtains.

One part for each girl, so that they have their own space, with a bed, shelves and a bedside lamp. 14 yrs old has her own tv as well.

Part three of the room is in front of the wardrobe so no one girl has to invade the others' space to get her clothes out.

We also fixed them up with a dressing table with mirror where they can do hair and make up.

I haven't started on the kitchen yet, but will certainly get around to it today! I am determined to get stuck in again after all this chaos of the last two week re-arraginging the bedrooms.

If I have time I'll make and post some pictures this week.
I am dead proud of myself in any case. The rooms look lovely. Will turn into a mess again if I turn around for 2 minutes, but for now it's lovely!
    :rotfl:

Time for a cup of coffee, and then I'll be:

Lil_me, those curtains didn't take me half as much time and effort as I thought it was going to take me!

Just get cracking on them! You'll love the result! And be proud of you! :D

Thanks for the new list! It gives me loads of motivation to get stuck in again and get this house up to scratch again.

Hi all, my first time on this thread - but I'm loving the idea of it! I'm working til half six tonight so I might ease myself into this with a level 2, ( and ironing if I'm allowed to do extras!) although bear in mind it's a glass dining table and its hard to get rid of all the streaks!

Beccatje well done you! Cooking with gas girl!

Just spent a wee half hour putting clothes away (wet ones are still sitting on the kitchen worktop) and a bit of a tidy-up in the kids room, if I waited till Friday it would be a disaster area!

hm... I phoned to get a blue badge, but no answer. I now have a list of stuff to be done during the week... *sighs*

I did manage to fight off a really bad headache an hour ago so that's something!

I really should go peg out that wet washing... hate it! worst job ever! *sobs*

ETA, application is on its way for the badge!

    Here's my update!!

Have managed level 2 tasks!!! (And managed to do a bit more decluttering from DSs bookshelf). I have also performed a magic trick and have transformed a mountain of dirty clothes into a mountain of ironing! If only Harry Potter was here to finish the job!!! Tomorrow is DD1 birthday (9 already) so need to get up and flying early. Each thing I throw out or take to charity is making me feel SO much better. DH thinks I'm turning into Anthea Turner and I do have to confess to folding towels neatly a la Perfect Housewife. Just off to collect some goldfish for DD1 - as godparents provided tank for her prezzie. (wish me luck!!!!):)

Hello to everyone, and welcome to all the newbies.

Back from a week in France and trying to muster the enthusiasm for some serious flying. Now that I've got all day every day for a few weeks I find it's harder to get started than when I'm working and short of time. Have done virtually nothing today except popping into school to do the post, washing, making bread and a little bit of swishing/swiping. managed to find the time to read the thread though!

    Oh well --- tomorrow maybe.
