Well I've hardly done any flying today and tea was a plate of gravy & chips  and I'm not doing anymore tonight either :rotfl: My plan is to sit here at the computer and play games while drinking Fosters as my ME time :p :beer:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Phew, Friday at last!

Had a pretty good day today:

    Level One
[strike]Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see) [/strike] I hoovered DS2+3's room, which was pretty grim this morning. Have swept DS1's room, need to mop it tomorrow
    Level Two
[strike]Strip beds, vacuum mattress and replace with fresh linen [/strike] - Did it on Monday
    Level Three
    [strike]Dusting and cobweb checking
Put anything back in it's place that isn't where it should be[/strike] Did both rooms

    Extra Mission Task Choices
    • [strike]Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, aim for 27, if you can't find that many, well done, you are obviously making a difference [/strike] - I filled a bag full!
    • [strike]Sort through some toys/books/clothes even if it's just for 10 miutes, making sure any broken ones are dealt with/flung, dirty ones get wiped/washed before putting them back and anything that should be parted with is. [/strike] - Yep, chucked out a load of old ones, sorted the rest back into their boxes
    • [strike]Clean kids rooms windows (check the curtains etc while you are there to make sure they don't need cleaning/wiping [/strike] - Did both rooms
    • [strike]Wipe any sticky marks off doors and walls in the kids rooms, may aswell wipe the lightswitches and handles over too[/strike] - Both rooms
I think this is the first time in ages that the whole house is reasonably tidy on a Friday night :T :T :T Not immaculate, but I could happily let a visitor in at the moment. I need to clean the bathroom tomorrow, because I didn't do it yesterday, but it's not grim so shouldn't take too long.

This board is fab - you all are!

Have a good weekend, everyone - I'll definitely be back on Monday!

    Sal

    Hi everyone!

The hall, stairs and landing are now all Almond White! I have to give the coving downstairs another coat tomorrow, as it was a darker colour, and it still shows through.

Whizzed downtown to buy DD's present for DS1 (thanks for the good wishes Lil'me!), cards and wrapping paper. I couldn't get the book he wanted, so have ordered from Amazon. I could have done that in time if he'd told me he wanted it before today!

I'll have to find time to do the bathroom tomorrow, it's not going to wait for next week...

Must do the washing up now, and do some wrapping up.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

I'm feeling very pleased with myself tonight with what has been a successful day. Just got DH on with cooking dinner, shopping was delivered so the cupboard and freezer are full to brimming, but the fridge still looks fairly empty  but that isn't a bad thing as we go away next Wed-Mon.

I've just done a clamber around over the recycling to find something to drink in the garage, and we are on a bottle of Moet tonight. We were loosely waiting to celebrate something special, but really, tonight is as good a night as any. We are going to raise a glass to charlie being raised to 9 months successfully, and the fact that we survived this week. :rotfl:

Quick check up then, as dinner is almost done:

    • last nights dishes were put away
    • my bed stripped, and bedding has been washed
    • charlie has been well entertained and is now down for hopefully a long nap
    • post has been dealt with
    • got chilli out of the freezer for tea
list for rest of day, which i will probably add more to as i think of:
    • [strike]hang washing on line[/strike]
    • remake our bed
    • [STRIKE]strip cot,[/STRIKE] wash bedding and [STRIKE]remake[/STRIKE]
    • [strike]clean fridge ready for internet delivery of food tonight as it will be a hectic weekend[/strike]
    • [strike]bring bin in[/strike]
    • [strike]put other bags of garden rubbish from under my front window straight into bin[/strike]
    • [strike]empty kitchen[/strike] [strike]and bathroom bins[/strike]
    • [strike]change cat litter tray[/strike]
    • [strike]wash a load of charlie's lights[/strike], [strike]and another of his darks[/strike]
    • try to pack another box of too small clothes away ready for DH to put some in the loft either tonight or tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]hoover living room/dining room and kitchen again[/STRIKE]
    • wipe dining table
    • [strike]wash up all of the glass mats[/strike]
    • [strike]sterilise and make up bottles[/strike]
    • hoover porch, hall, stairs and landing
    • hoover bathroom, charlie's room and our room
    • [strike]dust the rest of living room and dining room that i didn't complete earlier in the week[/strike]
    • quick clean of bathroom sink and loo
    • [STRIKE]accept delivery of food shopping between 7-9 tonight[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]put all food shop away[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]make up some pancake batter for dinner (chilli pancakes)[/STRIKE]
    • [strike]transmit shop and scan stuff[/strike]
    • [strike]check internet banking - expecting to be paid soon for my SAT marking[/strike]
    • [strike]clean cat feeding mat[/strike]
    • put compost out
    • [STRIKE]put recycling out[/STRIKE]
    • change water in my flowers
    extras:
    • cleaned kitchen sink, and drainer
    • ordered £20 of debenhams vouchers from shopandscan (for new work stuff for me)
    • accepted delivery of a couple of months worth of cat food - think DH can move that from the hall to the garage when he gets in as it is pretty heavy.
    • accepted delivery of DH's birthday pressie, which is now hidden - birthday not until 8th of September so how organised am i?
    • played drawing with Charlie for the 1st time - now he's covered in blue washable felt tip - didn't really get the idea and spent most of the time eating the pen
so a little bit to do in the morning, but not too much, and i will obviously remake the bed before we get in. Will probably be back later after dinner, but take care my lovelies and enjoy whatever you are doing this evening.

Well i've just completed my first flylady week and i'm shattered. I have sorted all our wardrobes toys etc out and have filled two charity shop bags.

I finally have a house where i don't mind visitors calling (bet no one calls when its tidy & clean). I've got to keep this up now, i hope i can. I work in a school so i've got the rest of the holiday to get into a routine (it has been really getting on top of me). I'm just a bit worried i wont be able to keep it up when i go back to work...is there any advice anyone can give me?

Higher standards Pigpen, must be with all the clearing you have been doing, must be. With 2 kids I have now come round to the idea I'll never have the perfect home, not that it's just them as we're messy hoodlums aswell, but with 8 I'd be happy to just last the day with my hair!!

Kippers well done, you're doing great, it does get easier the other girls will tell you that

Michelle, you enjoy that drink, great to hear you sounding more positive, you both deserve it, will be thinking of you as I drink my hot choccy. :rotfl: couldn't help but laugh at the eating pen, wonder what they taste like :D

Well DP has now come round to my thinking, thankfully! I've had a pretty relaxed evening, eaten in peace etc. Probably too much :o but nevermind eh, not as if I'd had more than a slice of toast and a cookie all day. He's having another quiet night at work so isn't impressed and will probably need to stay late. I think I will have an earlier night as it'll be well after lunch before he gets up tomorrow.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening all,
another knackering day here. Really bad start with kids creating on and off all morning, my 4 year old DS is pushing back big time on everything I ask him to do, 2 year old DD is a little wind up merchant who misbehaves and then her big brother copies her and they both think its hysterical to do things like rip up magazines all over the floor, pur milk on the table and smear it around, clatter their spoons off the metla table legs etc etc. I am a candidate for Supernanny. I screamed at them so loudly in the car today that two pedestrians turned around as I drove past  Oh well.
This afternoon was MUCh better, they were really well behaved this afternoon round the shops, even shoes shopping for DS, and we had a lovely cuppa and dnack in a cafe - I even got to read a couple of pages of a free magazine :T

Anyway got lots done in the new baby's room and got a few errands done out of the house too.
Oh and had THE most gorgeous dinner. Our Indian neighbours made us these lentil dumplingy ball things ages ago that I froze. They're a bit like falafel. We had those with roasted veg (cherry toms, aubergine, courgette, pepper), yoghurt dip, and quinoa (like couscous but I didn't have any in the cupboard. The quinoa was best before 2003!!!! oops!!!!). It was GORGEOUS :p Hubby even had second helpings of quinoa. He's never had it before and I was expecting him to hate it :j

I decided to do today's list for the baby's room, and will finish kids rooms tomorrow, amazingly they aren't that bad anyway.

Finally Friday - those terrible kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
[strike]Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see) [/strike]hoovered every inch of baby's room, inc moving all furniture
