Wow Jill - that is some list - some nesting going on there? Good luck getting it all done - some bits sound smaller than others there, and i can't think of anything you may have forgot. will you pack bags for the tiddlers too so that when the time comes you have a change of clothes and things like that in a bag for whoever will be watching them?

I feel a good bit better today cos DH got up with Charlie, and i got a whole extra hour in bed, still was up by 7:45am, but its better than nothing.

I've cleaned the loo and bathroom sink, tidied up a little bit in the Living room/kitchen, shut the doors into our room and the spare room (no need for a guided tour really) compost out, more recycling out, Charlie played with but now having a nap, and DH just doing a run up to the tip with the cardboard recycling, so chance for me to chill out on here.:j

Decided i didn't want to hoover all through again as i would be too hot and sweaty for friends arriving, so instead i just picked up any big bits i could see. Thank heavens for patterned carpets. (all was hoovered within the last week anyway.) ;)

I've a wonderfully clear head cos we didn't open the champagne after all that. It was 9:45 before we had eaten and washed up and stuff, so we thought we would save it for tonight rather than neck it like two teenagers before clubbing. :rotfl:

Anyway, they will be here by 11ish, so i am going to check one or two more bits out, and then turn off the computer. Hope the quietness on here means that you are all enjoying the real world today.

    Michelle, x

    Morning all

Grey and breezy here, two loads of washing on the line but it's not drying.

Dusted living room and vacuumed all through downstairs.

S & Sd kitchen, prepared veggies for tea.

DH has gone to look at cars, I really hope he finds one to buy today.

JillD you're definately geting somewhere, well done. LJD1 seems many men are being annoying at the mo. Pollybear hope the car hunting goes well, my DP is a nightmare when it comes to looking for cars.

I'm actually being lazy, sat on here, Saturday kitchen on, boys upstairs playing on games as it's raining, cuppa beside me, bliss actually even if I do feel a little guilty.

Have a few things to do today, inc a few bits from yesterday

    [STRIKE]
    Dailies
Ring the company for DS1s transport and find out pick up/drop off times, it's coming from 20 miles away! [/STRIKE] coming out next week to meet him and will arrange times etc then
[STRIKE] Sort through bills and bank accounts book again as when I went through last night is something gone wrong.
Tidy living room, can't sit on one of the sofas as it's covered in junk :o
    Sort through another junk box
    Clean pond filter out
Potter around garden and sort some more of the planters out
Get kids to help with sorting through at least one more box of toys (after 12 when DP gets up) same with books
Laundry hmm depends how weather turns out
    Dust downstairs inc the vivarium
    Vacuum and mop through downstairs
    Disinfect dogs room
    Put more things in cupboard
Tidy my bedroom some more, just so much STUFF!
Meal plan and shopping list from there, hopefully small shopping list!
Clean living room, kitchen, boys room and my bedroom windows.
    One hour studying

  • :hello:

This is my first official week on the thread and we got up this morning to a spotless house :j Normally Saturday is a mad manic cleaning day and I waste half a day doing housework (very begrudgingly) But because I have kept on top of it all, I have just had to hoover and shine my sinks this morning :D Dh has even got the bug, this morning for the first time ever, I saw him cleaning out the toilet and sink bin with hot water and bleach

We have 6 people over tonight for a meal, and I have already made the moussaka as I don't have any housework to do so a lovely day ahead of relaxation.

I will be back next week. It is easy to keep on top of things with some inspiration.

    Thank you!

blackangeluk & Feisty_Fairy you've both put in a lot of work this week, sometimes I think all we need is people to say ok, lets do this, together, step by step and we'll get there. The support on this thread is amazing, has kept me going through some pretty tough times lately. Always proud to be part of it, full of people who in 'real life' if I can call it that, would be proud to say are my friends :) . Have a great weekend and hopefully you'll both join us again from Monday :) (I'll pop the link at the end of this thread when the new post is done so we don't loose anyone)

Found a home for the happy street/little people stuff, my best friend's baby is due in October and she's got plenty of room to store it, would rather that than like Shell said someone selling it on. Gives baby a good start in toys :D

    Hi,
I think I have just missed a complete week of flying. Overdid things last weekend and have not really done any flying since though kids have all done things to help. I went out to visit a relative on Wednesday and kids had cleaned, mopped and vacuumed so I am not going to moan about them again for a little while. Still have loads of kids' friends staying but one of mine has gone away for the weekend. I think I will give flying a try again next week but will stick to level one for a while DD has gone shopping so I am going to disappear upstairs and watch a 'chick flick' with a mug of hot chocolate and leave all the men downstairs to feed themselves.
Oh, just remembered DH has won a weekend away for two in the Lakes, its not far but it will help us get away this summer.

I know it is hot - too hot here but:

Tidying the house whilst kids are growing
is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing

I give up, house is trashed again from top to bottom only tidy place is the garage!

DS3 having a fab time in the garden on the slip slide, he has left snippings all over the house whilst creating a cluedo set out of paper.

Lil_me: I couldn't agree more. I was sitting in the bath last night with a glass of wine (I know: more detail than required) and was thinking:
    • The grouting isn't disgustingly grotty any more
    • I've just fed DH a lovely supper thanks to a great recipe from this site (he claimed it was yummy - and so posh it was "like dinner party food"!)
    • I can open and shut most of my drawers without battling with all the junk in them
    • The house is clean and tidy - and my mum noticed!
    • And it didn't kill me getting this far :D !
So thanks to everyone for the inspiration so far and to the newbies even newer than me - it didn't take long to get to this stage, so stick with it.

    Have a good weekend everyone,

For any of you flyladies who coupon at Tesco's DM book tokens in todays paper are reported as scanning fine. Just brought 2 and about to dispatch OH to tesco (he loves SS and couponing) to get a 4 man tent which is already heavily reduced.
