I failed miserably after 3 weeks..... Seeing the nurse next week at my local GP hopefully I can arrange an appointment with her and have a chat what I can do next and how they can support me.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

I'm still not smoking and have even made it through a few nights out without reaching for them.
Well done Baileysonice and I know what you mean about 2 months having gone past quickly. In some ways it feels like forever ago that I was tearing my hair out with wanting a cigarette but the how-long-I've-given-up-for markers are definitely flying by now.
Woodster, don't beat yourself up about it and good luck with the next (and hopefully final) attempt. I hope the nurse can give you whatever you need.0 -

No Woodster, you're not a failure because you didn't succeed, you're a success because you tried. This ain't no easy task, & you will succeed one day
Well done to everyone!0 -
Don't be too hard on yourself, it isn't easy.Woodster76 wrote: »I failed miserably after 3 weeks..... Seeing the nurse next week at my local GP hopefully I can arrange an appointment with her and have a chat what I can do next and how they can support me.
My final successful attempt was about my fourth serious attempt to give up. I'm now almost 4 years smoke free, so don't let one (or two or three or more
) failed attempts put you off trying again.
Have a think about what went wrong and see if you can try something different. Maybe trying NRT, or avoiding drinking/social situations where you tend to smoke more for a month or two.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Thank you for your kind words Angry Bear, DUKE & Izadora.
Felt I was doing so well yet a moment of weakness undid all my hard work. It is hard and work isn't helping with my anxiety. Not a good excuse I know - I should of just drove straight home instead of the shop. I've learnt my lesson and will try again on Wednesday.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017
