Sorry you are unwell IQUEEN hugs
It sure brings it home to you doesn't it
If you suddenly became ill and couldn't sort your
stuff out. I have glaucoma and you just don't know how bad it could get.
So I for one am glad I got kondoed earlier in the year. That was one of the reasons I radically reduced my wardrobe, sorted my paperwork, and got my photos sorted. My sight hopefully will be stable for years but at least I am organised and it's a less of a worry.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Thank you for all the hugs and kind thoughts. I'm determined to lick this!
Had to laugh this morning. I'm not used to the walking stick and leave it all over the place, but I managed to remember it, when I made a cup of coffee and which I then spilt as I negotiating leaving the kitchen! :rotfl:At least it helps me to stay upright!
Thinking about being ruthless, I remember reading on The Minimalists' blog that they only missed a few things when they purged. They found that the only things they had to replace cost less than $20, and could be purchased in less than 20 minutes. So, no excuse for not being ruthless.
I haven't missed anything that I've discarded, so far, and, like many of you, honestly can't remember the things that have gone. Shows how vital (NOT!) to my life they were! :rotfl:
Well, I've sat long enough - need to put out the non-recyclable bag, while it's still light.
Have a good evening, everyone.Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

(((((((iQueen))))))))) hope you soon feel better.
I'm exhausted today, so think I won't be kondo-ing anything more demanding than a few chapters of the book I'm reading plus a bit of interwebulation and cooking supper.
I did take out the recycling on the way to work and came home to find the green party newsletter in my mailbox. The mailbox whose flap says, when you lift it, not to leave any leaflets etc. Of all people, you'd think the greens would respect my stance. Twice they've done this now, and twice they've been recycled immediately.
I was going to take some Stuff to a chazzer after work but was too cream-crackered, so will probably do that tomorrow. It's good to get things out of here.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Something IQUEEN said in her post about not remembering what she has kondoed. It occurred to me that I can't remember stuff either.
Not missed at all and boy I got rid of loads. That's really made me think. I guess those that are recording what they fling via the mins game have an idea what's gone.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Be careful when you're well enough to go out, if you still need the stick - Mr ivyleaf can walk a short distance without his, and quite often leaves it hooked onto shop counters. We once arrived at a holiday caravan and he realised he hadn't got it, but thankfully there was a spare one in the boot of the car - while we were away he managed to leave the spare one in an RNLI shop and we had to go back for it! - then when we got back home we went into the paper shop, and the owner said "Is this your walking stick? I wondered where you'd got to!"
ETA: Nearly there, loopychriss :T0 -
Oh dear, Iqueen, hope you feel better soon
Loopychris, you are doing really well. I wondered about doing it backwards (ooh err, missus) but am glad i did it the traditional way as i found it easier to get rid of stuff as i went on.
i also can't remember much of what went.
Still reeling from the 18 additional photo albums.
And the minimalists replied to one of my posts - we will be on first name terms soon:rotfl:
Starting to think about the C word. (I have to really, have getting on for 30 people to think about  - some are birthdays but still have to be "done") Bought my sis one of Martin's deals on the email - 100 page photobook for £19.
Notice has gone in :T so the countdown begins - maybe i should Kondo something for every day until I leave work  - would be 62 days
Today's can be the Joe Brown's catalogue that came in the post.I wanna be in the room where it happens0
