Happy Birthday iQueen
Glad you've been having a lovely day!
GQ Huge WELL DONE on what you've achieved in the parental loft!
So many people on here doing really well :T
I seem to have got a bit stuck, as there are a lot of things I can't sort through because I'm physically unable to move other people's Stuff that's in front of them, but I'll get there. Onwards and upwards :j0 -
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday iQueen :bdaycake: Many happy returns!
GreyQueen Really enjoyed the 'Tales from the Loft'. Anything that can be removed from the loft now is one less item to be removed later. :TA good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Happy birthday iqueen.
The double bed I put on freecycle was collected by a lovely young lady last night :T
And today at a business networking event I met a lady collecting items for 16 - 18 year olds who, due to unfortunate circumstances in their home lives, are living in sheltered accommodation. I have loads that can be sent her way, so that will be something I will spend Saturday morning sorting :j:jSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
..one size fits all... and nobody minds if you give it back.☆.。.:*・° Housework is so much easier without the clutter ☆.。.:*・°SPC No. 5180 -
Happy Birthday iQueen, sounds like you had a wonderful minimalist day.
GQ, saw an article a while back, typewriters are back in vogue due to concerns about security/hackers:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/11/12/typewriters-are-back-and-we-have-edward-snowden-to-thank/
Over here I'm continuing with my 'get something out of the house every day' principle. Today it was only a book given to the gym's library but I've spent time gathering old pillows and towels, a lady from the local free site has offered to do collections locally to take a group load to the dog rescue 30 min away. So a stack is waiting in the hall for tomorrow.
I may have mentioned, I regularly host 'couchsurfers' through an established organization. It can be people on extensive world travels or just moving to the area, such as students needing a few days to find a room.
It's meant to be a cultural exchange (hosting someone at no cost) so I'll always host Spanish and German speakers to keep up my skills, as well as anyone else who seems interesting. It forces me to take a fresh look at my flat and the dust and clutter and to keep kondo'ing and moving forward when I have a deadline that someone is arriving.
I have one coming on Friday...a spiritual medium who is coming to a week-long medium course at a college in Essex. She's arriving on Friday and staying until Monday when the course starts. I feel like I'm working double shifts, lest any of the clutter start 'speaking' to her.
The last time I was this busy with a guest was when I had a trainee chef at Mr. Oliver's restaurant. I scrubbed the kitchen down before he came but as expected, he left it in better condition than when he arrived, and I think I gained 2 pounds from a week's worth of his lovely meals!
Keep up the Kondo'ing and min'ing, it's inspiring to read about everyone's progress and often reminds me of things that I need to discard. :beer:0 -

Happy Birthday iqueen
Well done to all the October min- gamers. All together that is an impressive amount of stuff that has been thanked and set free.
Even more impressive is that there are people on this thread who genuinely don't 300 odd things to get rid of or in some cases are completely kondoed.
Mins game for November
Day 1 - some out of date leaflets from a local charity I did some voluntary work for. Was symbolic because I've just made the difficult decision to stop that work. It's a great cause but I just can't manage it now. Maybe I'll go back in the future.
Day 2 -
1. Ds kindly gave his toy zoo to sis in law for her boys
2. misc baby equipment to sis in law
Day 3 -
1. Mosquito net for pram - bought 2nd hand and never use (cs)
2. 5 large cupboard fairies - used as dec for a bday party and unlikely to be reused (rc)
3. Large toy box - sold by oh on eebae and will be collected this evening - this is strictly speaking an October item but it sold and left the house in November so I'm claiming it anyway.0 -
I forgot to say the bike was collected :T A lovely young 'hippy' type lad. Who had left it there and forgot :rotfl:For 3 weeks ! Lucky for him we picked it up the day after he left there to catch a bus to college. So he was so happy to see it again. Also he had painted it himself
I did say I hope you are not at Art College
He laughed and said No :rotfl:
