I'll take the Matroyska (sp?) dolls please to my new home if you still have them iQueen? I'll cover the postage etc, I had a set years ago when I was very young & loved them. They got left behind when Mum left my crazy Father, and you reminded me how bright & pretty they look.
Lisey Loo How lovely that they will bring joy to you
iTwin a perfect fitting end to your special Birthday to bring joy to someone else :T I am quite tearful at the result
Right guess what I am doing today ? Yep clothes again  Going to put summer stuff that brings me joy in the loft (Bad Mavvy) MK will not be happySome other stuff has been earmarked to leave the premises
Went to the posh hairdressers yesterday and 4.5 hours later :eek: I am happy (no garden shears were used) with the result drove into the big city without a care in the world which is such a change for me.Got there in plenty of time to have a posh coffee (joyful) Kondoed a fair bit of money on the process (but sold loads on thebay to pay for it.)
I am passing on a M&S Per una Feather and down jacket in Winter White size L I am guessing about a size 16 Someone gave it to me but its too big for me to get away with. Cant find a home for it here.If anyone would like it please let me know.I would love to find a joyful home for itIts new and perfect condition.
It was given to me with love and I would like to pass it on the same way.

I longed for a set of matryoshka dolls although I don't know why, eventually I was given some in my teens. I still have them; they have made the cull of komono because they are so popular with occasional visiting children. Toddlers love to undo them and restack them (I usually remove the tiniest one for safety) and if they get bashed on the floor it doesn't matter.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

Thanks for that link Jinny.
Last week I was trying to decide about continuing the Mins list to maintain momentum and came to a decision at the weekend. I decided that I would leave the counting of random stuff for a while as other things should take priority.
I am happy with the overall effects at the moment. The windowsills and tops of bookcases are clear apart from what I want on them, The dining table could be used for its prime purpose most of the time, there are far fewer items on display in the wall units and I have kondo'd a swivel recliner from the corner of the living/dining room. Last time DS's GF visited she exclaimed that it looked tidy, don't know who was more embarrassed.
Behind the scenes, Items have been removed from drawers, cupboards, loft and garage, yet whilst there is still a long way to go, not every item required from them now involves major shuffling and production of an avalanche.
My priority now must be a return to paperwork. I sorted personal stuff after I retired but work related (over 30 lever arch and box files) was put on the back burner until I found time! It was begun earlier this year when DS came home and needed his bookcase space back. The contents of 11 files were evicted.
But it was all only semi organised into relevant sections such that should physical or mental incapacity strike me, the family would find it difficult to find details of pension and savings etc. that would need dealing with in the short term, and might find photographs a big effort as not even I know some of the subjects, but would be quite capable of doing a Grey Queen on the stored electronics, toys and household items.
So paperwork and photographs, which had also had a cursory weed from some boxes earlier in the year, it is!
Although the very old personal stuff had been fully sorted, it was before MK and I have bank statements and payslips going back 40, (yes 40 years) and a similar amount of car insurance and utility bills and from more recently every mobile phone bills for 4 of us. These WILL now go.
I started on Monday and now have 3 empty files, several bags of shredded paper, a box full for recycling (today's collection) and had better get on with it.0 -
Hi all and happy birthday for yesterday iQueen. I haven't got much done in the last few days as I have cooties
so as soon as I can kondo them I will be right back at it, I am missing the joy from clearing things out!
OH doesn't like getting rid of things, like a lot of OHs on here, but I think some woo is happening he voluntarily said all the t shirts in his work bag can go! I think it might be because he can now see exactly how many t shirts he has, loads and loads, as I have them all folded and filed in one drawer rather than some hanging up and the others spread over two drawers...whoop whoop! Only a small victory but one I wasn't expecting so it has made my week.
Enjoy your Kondoing hopefully I will be joining you all again in the next couple of dayskonMarie and fabbing all the way

Morning Konverts!
What a generous offer, iTwin! I guess that jacket won't around for very long. Sadly, too small for me!
Lisey Loo: you are very welcome to the Russian dolls.
They are new. Probably bought in Berlin. There are 3 nested dolls - the tallest is 11cm. They are made of wood and the shawl/scarf of the largest is painted orange!
If you haven't changed your mind - PM me your address and (provided you're in the UK) I'll send them to you, foc!
Off to do some errands and drop of some more books off for charity.
Have a good day, everyone! :dance:Needs, NOT wants!

Alarm fitting is going very well and should be completed mid afternoon, was told my attic isn't the worst he's seen- he said he did an alarm at a Drs house and it was literally full to the rafters with no space to even stand up so cables had to be put over the stuff as he wasn't moving it- it wasn't even boarded!
House feels rather cluttered with tools and stuff all over various places but tonight it will all be gone and I'll be able to put furnishings etc back in place- possibly kondoing a bit as I go.SPC~12 ot 124

can I ask a question? What is doing a Grey Queen on sorted electronics etc? I have read the thread but cant remember reading what GQ did.

I'm going back to clothes category. I thought I'd finished but realised I didn't really do underwear. I've now emptied my drawer and the carrier bag containing other stuff I never wore but had decided to save elsewhere as it didn't fit into the drawer. I probably wasn't ruthless enough - I definitely don't need six pairs of pop socks as I hardly ever where them. But it felt a waste to throw as I do wear them occasionally. Plan to wear only one pair every time until they are worn and then chuck.
Also kept 4 pairs of opaque black tights on same basis- these I do wear more regularly but don't need so many pairs as with youngish kids we are running the washing machine everyday anyway.0 -
