Afternoon all.
Have been wrapping c******** and birthday presents from the pre-loved wrapping stash. This is so that they can leave in a few days by car (I would have to lug them across country on public transport on Xmas eve after working all day) when family come up.
Very enjoyable and paper and tags will be leaving the household with them.
I also happened to be wandering around in the MrMoneyMustache forums, something I've only done 1-2 times ever, and guess what one of the threads is about............?

OH took a load of concrete, the box of scrap metal that I've been chucking things into for a few years, some dead batteries and old light bulbs to the HWRC this week. I haven't counted any of this for mins because it was all collected a while back and I want to use mins to get me kondoing properly.
Mins day 8:
1. Order of service for funeral
2. a few pages from clothing catalogue
3. garment care labels x 2
4. pack of 15 felt-tipped pens - they've never worked
5. cardboard backing
6. old towel
7. Brooch
8. frying pan which has lost its non-stick surface
I will have some help this weekend so plan to have a blitz.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Had lunch with a friend today and i was [STRIKE]raving[/STRIKE] talking about KM folding and filing of jumpers and tops. Friend txtd me an hour ago to say she has 'done' all her T's this evening and they look great in the drawer
TBH I was hoping she'd let me do it for her:D:D
kondo'd blueberries and rasps into jam today. Have a little stash of HM preserves to dish out now. It'll help me kondo some of the hamper/presentation boxes I've got cluttering up the room of doom!
looking forward to more joyful decisions and releasing of items tomorrow (DH working again so I should get a few hours uninterupted fun :rotfl:
have a relaxing evening everyone,
MI have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
The house is in a bit of a state, with the discussions of division of labour dh and I are having
and the following week we'll have three sets of guests visiting, while we're both working fulltime! It has spurred dh into cleaning action, and I am now doing my bit clearing the living room, which had become a toy display room
Each set of guests will leave in the morning, and the new set will arrive the same afternoon, so rigorous planning is needed!
I am ruthlessly decluttering, recycling and konmarie-ing. Old dd's schoolwork has been put with the old paper, half the toys are now in the attic (to be brought down in about 3 months), hair items back in the haircare box, crafting items with crafting, bike helmets in the garage..... I am about to kondo myself to bed, and hope dh will join me soon, seeing it's the best place for him to be stored at nightlike-with-like, and all joy-sparking

Day 15 - eraser, key fob cards x2, butterfly box, superglue pack, 2 cards from purse, receipt, navy skirt.
I will keep a list for myself for the rest of the month, but even with my bday coming up, there simply isn't much left that doesn't give joy. I've been able to keep functioning more easily through this current ME crash and the mins game has been v useful:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
Went to the charity shop today again and although the light was on the door was locked. I was delighted the car was only parked across the road, wouldn't have looked well carrying bin liners full of clothes much further. :rotfl:0
