Thanks dragonette /B], that is a good idea. Someone else mentioned dying towels is so easy and i am happy to give it a go. Now.....what colour or combo of colours :rotfl: should i go for??? (For clarity, i mean doing some one colour and others different, not bunging in several different dye packs at once and expecting stripes or something!). Hope you feel much better soon.

Only kondo-ing today was my date with DH. We'd planned to go to pub for t. He's working so hard that i double- checked at about 4pm, was he still up for it and he was. Right-o, finished work, had a few errands to do, trailed home in time to get quick wash and brush up. Met at the door by kn4ckered looking DH saying we would be staying in and could i rustle up something 'cos he was indeed too tired for excursion. Doh :(

Paid work tomorrow. We've all been emailed to let us know how much we'd get if we volunteer for redundancy. We have 2 weeks to decide. If not enough people volunteer we will be 'invited' to apply for the jobs that remain in the new structure. Same for a lot of folks since 2008 crisis but hard to believe it's still
going on! Not letting it get me down :)

Am already planning kondo phase 2 of room of doom for Saturday and [stands up to whisper] am looking forward to it lots :j

    Morning all
Sorry your date night didn't go according to plan mmf007
GQ I hope you are feeling better very soon and the day isn't too taxing. You have my sympathies as I've got a rotten cold as well and fluctuate from sneezing for English to feeling like I'm going to cough a lung up.

  • I'm not feeling well today, aches and pains but have been moving furniture around already. It's not as hard as it sounds as we have less furniture now.:D

We moved the ancient stereo over by the window as the firework season will be starting soon and we have a fireworks CD that we play for our pets to help calm them. I'm not sure that it works particularly well though!

I haven't got around to doing any kondoing today. I'm finding it hard as I've hit a wall.

Just got the X-mas channel on as I think about what I can get on with today.:A

Morning Konverts and Mins Movers! :coffee:

Well done to all the Konverts, who are still hard at it, or tottering along (like me!) And congratulations to all Mins Movers who are still managing to find carp begging to be released into the Carp Heaven! :D

Well, my Big Day Out (aka hospital appointment) was FABULOUS JOY! :j

My transport turned up exactly on time, driven by a big man, with a broad c0ckney accent. We discussed politics, religion, economics, and the judicial system, but mostly (his) family!:)

Most of the way there and back, he kept me in stitches with his former life as an 'old lag'. He's 20 years younger than me, but was brought up in the criminal underworld of the Smoke. Both his parents and his grandparents were members of that world. He knew all the 'stars' of the 'industry' from the 50s onwards and has done his share of 'bird'. It was a brilliant insight regarding 'femly', codes of conduct, respect, gang discipline, and 'old style' crime. :D

I had under-estimated the journey length... 272 miles, round trip, and, surprisingly, I didn't fall asleep and drool! :rotfl:

I was excited to notice a KFC on the way, and we stopped there on the return journey. Fantastic! :D

Oh, and the appointment. About 10 members of staff present, who welcomed my input and who decribed their specialities. Five examined my eye... only one cleaned their hands first - claggy eye today! :(

The good news: MOHS is the gold standard treatment, as I thought, 98% certainty of complete removal, and reconstruction done at same time. The down-side: only local anaesthetic... and a 31 week waiting list!

So, today I will receive a phone-call and be given the outcome of the subsequent discussion by the MDT, and I shall have to do some thinking over the next few days. The alternative treatment, locally, would be more disfiguring and 8% less certain of getting all the cancer. But, it would be done within 6 weeks. :undecided

In the meatime, I shall give myself some space and get on with kondoing! Thank goodness for MK! :T

Have a joyful day, everyone!

Going to try this weekend to do some Kondoing and a venture into the loft space is required - I am dreading it!!!
Hope everyone is Ok - I haven't read back but may do just to try and catch up with you all. x

  • IQueen that's great news, so glad it went well and good luck with your decision-making.
