I have two hammers and two rubber mallets. The cheapest claw hammer and the most-battered rubber mallet live in the allotment shed where they do get used. The allotment is 1.25 miles from home, so a bit far to fetch them if you need them in the other place. The better claw hammer and the less-battered rubber mallet live in the toolbag under the bed.
I have zero bathmats and am happy about that.
Have only 3 things on my list for today, so may have to bow out of minsgame unless I can think of some more.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Bit late but have to say it anyway.... agree with all who don't like fabric conditioer. Too scenty, horrid feel and of course makes your towels and tea towels so much less absorbent. Rant over
today i helped my elderly neighbour sort out clothing contents of large COD.
she is struggling to bend down to the lowest draw so i offered to re-position things. Of course i then B]had to[/B] fold everything a la KM.
It was a triumph. We could fit in all sorts at the right height because the folding somehow saves loads of space. The icing on the cake was arranging the jumpers and cardies in rainbow colour order. Smalls are neatly coralled into a shoe box and 'knee highs' into a box divided in two, so black ones are easily spotted rather than mixed with dark grey.
We were so happy. Joyful, in fact :rotfl:

Oh ME is a ruddy pest at times! 7pm before I'm actually functional to do any tidying or sorting. Did manage to get 2 bags out to a CS.
Towels - one bath sheet, 5 bath towels and 2 bath mats (coordinating rather than matching), 3 other bath towels, 3 hand royals and 3 dish cloths. And far too many flannels. I don't want to thin this down at present - at times like today where I'm simply not functional, desperately needing laundry done is not a good use of my energy resources.
Eta: I forgot a microfibre travel towel. Maybe I could find new homes for some of these. This is for just myself (flatmate uses his own towels)
I have one item for yesterday's mins game - so any easy wins week get added to that:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
Towels
4 bath sheets
1 beach towel used by dgs when he stays
4 hand towels for bathroom
4 hand towels for cloakroom
5 bath towels
1 towel used for when I dye my hair.
Am beginning to wonder if I need all those bath towels:o
All towels are M and S.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
P.s also
4 T towels
4 bath mats
2 of which are towel style used in bathroom
2 are rubber backed that I use in cloakroom in winter, though I may dispense with them ,have managed fine up till now, and have slippers to keep feet warm in winter!Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Towels..... Christy's or JL. We haven't got too many although not exactly joyful being boring beige and cream with some embroidery (i hanker for some really lovely colourful ones) but perfeclty servicable so they are all staying.
EtA, - no bath mats or loo mats. We have vinyl on floor, put towel down for wet feet. No slips or trips, less laundry.

MMF007 - you could try dyeing the towels? Some of mine are cheap cream CS ones that went in the machine and came out orange
So glad for the subject of towels - actually managed to find enough for the mins list for yest and today
Day 12 - 1 piece junk mail, yarn ball from stash into blanket, following to a young couple in their first flat - 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels, 3 face cloths, 2 pillow slips and 1 pillow case
Day 13 - (cont) 2 pillow cases, 1 king size sheet (I have never ever had a king sized bed!), then 2 receipts, 1 dwp letter, 1 hi vis vest, 4 pens, 1 zombie sewing kit and finally a palette of eyeshadow - too old to use near my eyes and ive been promised some for my bday
Eta-just worked out that eyeshadow is over 10 years old. Eek!
This is getting harder - now suggestions of categories would be really helpful:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
Talking of towels, the waste of resources in this hotel is shocking!
I use a towel in the morning to shower - hang it up, but it gets replaced as does the floor mat towel. If for whatever reason i use another later on, even a little hand towel, they take it away in the evening and replace it again.
I could have the sheets replaced every day if i wished but i never request it - but being here for a week they get fed up with me and usually do it at least once, without my request. I don't change my sheets at home more than once weekly (they should be so lucky ) and i sleep on about 1ft of the 6ft wide bed!!
Fruit comes in with compliments - and gets replenished every other day, even if there is nothing wrong with what is left. If you are still in the breakfast room at the end of that meal, you get treated with seeing the staff just chuck whatever is left from the buffet into big bin bags
Shocking waste....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is as well as can be
VJsmum the hotel we weekend at in sheringham has signs in the bathroom saying if you want your towels changing during your stay drop them in the bathtub and they will be replaced otherwise they will assume you are happy to continue using them. I keep the same ones for my stay and any that aren't used have a note left on them saying they haven't been touched - you can tell by the way they are folded TBH. It's a family run hotel that does the laundry inhouse so think they are happy not to wash those either but I'd bet they are refolded to check.
Had a woo moment yesterday was out in the playground and saw a huge low plane in the sky yes I caught sight of what we thought was the Vulcan on its last run, feel mean that we didn't point it out to the kids but at the time weren't sure it was that.
Edit not the Vulcan after all it was a cargo plane, still impressive.
