Primarni do great towels (I am not normally a Primarni fan), they wash well and last ages.. Colours are a little limited though.0

I try and get slightly thinner towels. I know the thick ones feel luxurioius, but you need to do more loads of washing to get them through and they take a lot more drying. I do make sure they are a goood giant size though, would rather have a big towel than a thick one.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. I had really huge bath sheets for a while but they took up too much space in the washing machine and took ages to dry. I sent them to textile recycling after a few years and I replaced them with the smaller sized ones.
My husband complained at first but we are used to them now.:p0 -
Towels - I will need to go count! Spent yest with a friend all day practicing some hobbies so will have 2 sets of mins game to find today.
I've slept in, and am therefore late in taking my anti histamine and steroids for the crazy over reaction, and my mouth is tingly. I'm hoping it doesn't flare back up as soon as I'm finished the steroids!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
Hello!
I will also have to count my towels! I have 4 sets of bedding for our king size bed and three sets for the spare double bed. I just rotate them, they all bring joy. I only have one fitted sheet for our bed though, and it needs to be washed and dried on the same day. I like flannel sheets, and I cannot find decent quality white sheets in king size. I will keep looking and will not settle for anything less than joyful!

I like John Lewis towels but also have some Matalan towels from their 'posher' range which aren't bad. BHS used to do nice towels, but weren't so good last time I checked. Our local Debenhams used to have a huge towel department with one especially good brand in there - but I can't remember the name now
I rarely use bath sheets now but they were essential for when I did massages - 2 per client meant I got through a lot - masses of washing and tumble drying (can't give a client rough towels!!) I used to use a lot of vinegar when washing those - helped to wash the carrier and essential oils out. They are really good quality towels, though, so are fab for guests - and because they don't go with any bathrooms (being colour coordinated to my treatment room at the time - they are a really deep forest green) they don't get used by anyone elseI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Mav My "good" (aka favourite) towels are from Next. They come in loads of colours and sizes, including the massive bath sheets which I love. It's a good day when the towel I'm using is taller than me. It annoys me that they have their logo embroidered on them, but I just fold them so I can't see that and all is right with the world.
Before that, I always swore by BHS towels (that's what the drab brown towels I recently Kondoed to the pet shelter were, lasted forever) but they closed our nearest store years ago and I've never thought to order online from them.0 -
I know that I have way too many towels because I live alone and so only really need 4:
1 One I'm using
2 One in Laundry
3 Two for guests
Having said that, when my bath leaked into my sitting room, having lots of towels saved me a lot of money!!

Does anyone nees a hammer? We have 3... Can't really justify one for indoor use, one for outdoor use and a spare(?!) so have sent 2 to the shed and am offering them to any family or friends who may need a hammer?!
Have completely cleared out the pantry / dumping room / room of doom today and it looks so much better in there now! I've only kept what we will actually need and make use of regularly - I even sorted out all of the screws and bolts *polishes halo* and hoovered too.
Start a new job on Thursday so am trying to get a bit more sorted this evening and tomorrow before then so I feel completely ready. Just have the one hotspot kitchen table to clear tonight and then tomorrow I plan on clearing the bookcase and finishing off in the kitchen.
As for towels and bedding, we are a family of 5 - we each have 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 flannels and then I have 2 spare sets too. We have 2 sets of bedding too, plus a spare single duvet with a set on for when the kids have friends over that I can wash as and when. One set to wash, one set to use, it works for us!0 -
We have four bath sheets and four hand towels for our en suite. Eight bath sheets and eight hand towels for bathroom - we used to rent apartment out and these were used for both bathrooms then. All plain coloured (dark lilac and brown), all from Asda and all washed with fabric softener so there . No beach towels - we chucked them when they got tatty, use the brown ones now.
About to hopefully buy a house with LOTS of towels and bedding left. Hoping for a name amongst them. Will salvage the best and send the rest to animal sanctuary or CS.
Bath mats anyone? Two lilac and four brown.
